Not to stick up for Sanchez, but how can he get any better with that protection? He'll be skittish the whole season for sure.

I think we're looking at another 8-8 season.

We are all in agreement that the RT must be upgraded. Hopefully when that happens Sanchez will settle down, and get some confidence. The defense will be fine as far as I am concerned.

Gee whiskers I have been saying that for MONTHs now but instead of 8-8 I would go lower like 5-11 or maybe even 4-12

Eric Winston with a side order of Dave DeCastro would have made for a nice offseason.

Some of these posts show no reality. Last night - TOO many penalities, secondary must foul to contain (got away with an asault in the end zone), Tebow had ALL kinds of time and could do absoultly ZERO on many many downs . . . . The three points tells the story. I can go on an on but why sicken my stomach. WE NEED TO PLAY MUCH BETTER or 8-8 will seem like a superbowl season. I know people will be pissed at this post but it is the truth weather you want to accept it is another story.

As far as the defense is concerned, they won't be very good if they're on the field all the time.

Why did he invest so much money in corners and a wide receiver who is more of a headache than a talent?

Yes, he could have easily gotten a playmaker and a right tackle if he actually knew how to manage the cap. Tannenbaum hasn't made a positive addition to this club via free agency since LT, and that was only because no one even wanted him at that point.

I agree with you completely on that.

Sanchez throws one INT and gets sacked because of a shit O Line and everyone jumps down his throat.

Nothing has changed, guys freaking out over a preseason game. Obviously some changes need to be made and there are some good opportunities for some guys to step up and show that they deserve to start and make this team.

People forget that our 3 out of out top 4 receivers are out. A crappy Wayne Hunter can sometimes be overcome with Holmes on the quick slant. He's clearly the weakest link, though.

Nothing has changed. Jets fans are still the worst fans in football.

While I wanted De Castro and still livid he fell to Pittsburgh where he will probably make 10 straight PB's before they let him go and he falters someplace else but I'm really liking what I have seen of Coples so far and I was quite loud about the fact that I hated that pick.

    8-8?

This team will be lucky to win five games.....

There's just no margin for error with this team...

If anyone gets hurt, the depth is so weak, that I can see the team's misfortunes snowballing downhill.

I know it's preseason, but this team needs a complete overhaul.

The training camp has been BEYOND a circus and the play on the feel has been hideous. I don't think it's going to get better.

Woody Johnson has to decide whether he wants to be a Super Bowl winning owner or a guy who likes to see his name in the paper. Fire Tannen-bum, fire Sparano and tell Rex to get this team's sh*t together.

You are right about Coples being a good talent.

Our defense was dissapointing at times last year but our offense really needed some love in this offseason and did not get much of it.

I don't judge my team till game four, every team has issues at this time and missing pieces. My brother has been a Jet fan since 67 and this year his aproach is to avoid anything Jet till opening season. Ryan has been great for the NFL I can see a good fight in your division. In fact the AFC is going to be a crapshoot. who knows .500 just may get your ticket punched to the dance.......

This part is wrong. His numbers did not hit the books until the deadline to release his contract passed. There may not have been an obvious and immediate answer to replacing him in FA, but there had to be better options. He is nothing but a limited backup player.
