Tanny addressed this... T-Rich wants to come back another season but the team is high on Jason Davis so they're not sure in which direction they want to go... the vet or the future.

I'd like to have TJ around one more year but if we decide to go with Davis I trust the coaches... either way I'm good.

PS The way Tanny talked about this sounded like goodbye T-Rich... but you never know.

I don't agree with that, look how much the Chargers run game suffered when they lost Lo Neal. I bet if you ask LT he would give alot of credit for his success to Neal and the holes he opened up. Crazy to think that Neal was a Jet at one time.

TR has done more than just block for some greats. He led the Chiefs in rushing in The Year 2000 (650 or so). he also tallied over 450 yards receiving that same year. His usefulness at the beginning of his career has long been forgotten.

I hope we keep him as I can't see him being too expensive. I wouldn't fuck around w/ the running game any more than we have. Also better to wait til Sanchez has more experience before introducing a new FB.

I don't understand the downplay of the FB position in this thread...

granted it's not the MOST important position on the field but if we had a crap player there it would effect our running game without question

Agreed. I'm a big fan of fullbacks and T.Rich is one of the best. A good FB makes a difference.

Did you forget that he drafted a quarterback in the first round last season?

This is Mark Sanchez's team now. ...just because he isn't old, doesn't mean he can't lead.

Is it bad that I wondered why the Jets need a Facebook?

Agreed Mark Sanchez is young but hes leading by example. Doing 8 hours a day during the offseason is a pretty big message to the Offense that they need to be better. I love seeing that kind of work ethic out of him.
