He's not right. And neither are you. Ive told you for months that you are wrong. You have been banging the table for Sanchez (and other things of Sanchez ) for months and months. You said that the organization was committed to Sanchez and that they werent even going to think about drafting a QB. Well, they thought about it, and drafted one... high.

You consistently defend Sanchez and his garbage play until death. Sooner or later you are going to have to give it up.

You know, the other weekend I watched 42. Great movie. You kind of remind me of the people during that time period who resisted the change and movement of equality. Now Im not saying you are racist at all, I just think you are resisting the change of this franchise whether it be for personal gain or whatever. Clearly you are extremely biased towards Sanchez. He's done here.

We picked Geno at a spot with tremendous value. The Jets debated between Richardson and Geno at 13 and went with Richardson. In the 2nd, we got Geno... Like he said, it could be "a blessing in disguise". Give up the Sanchez gig man.

Oh yeah, and please dont bring up stats with Sanchez, because you Sanchez defenders always say the stats lie. It works both ways. You want to bring up stats? Look up his NFL stats. Consistently at the bottom of the league after 4 years. Oh yeah, and Geno completed 71% to receivers who are under 5'10, threw for over 1000 yards more than Sanchez had in two years at WVU compared to Sanchez's solo year. Between 2011 and 2012 Geno attempted over 1040 passes. He only threw 13 interceptions. He also thre for 42 TDs this year... Please dont bring up stats.

i had no problem with the Millner pick at 9, but imo Jarvis Jones was the BPA at 13.

Geno will be a franchise qb, I think he has all the tools.

I think he has all the tools, specifically upstairs... He seems like a bright hard working kid. Hopefully Idzik can develop him better than Tanny did with Sanchez. Its a new regime, gotta give them a chance. I also think MM will turn out to be a very good addition.

The only thing I was a little upset about was not getting Nick Kasa in the 5th over Oday Aboushi, who I think will be good for us but having Brick and Howard just made me feel we could have went for a TE with good size and great speed for his size. 6'6 270 with 4.7 speed is top notch and a mismatch nightmare if you scheme correctly

At least John did not move up in the 2nd round, spend extra draft picks that we needed for a raw player like MT did last year for S. Hill. If Geno Smith is a bust so what. How many fans are complaining about Kellen Clemons as a 2nd round bust? I have been following the draft for almost 40 years and no position is harder to evaluate then QB. As a Jet fan I hope Geno is Joe Namath with wheels.:breakdance:

I'll like to add in support to your response than he contradicted himself and misquoted Kiper to this extent. What Kiper said was " since SF is in such great shape with so few holes and a lot of picks, they had the luxury of plugging in the holes strategically, and did a damned good job.
Great teams therefore have the advantage of not having to go BPA as is the case with smart team in a re tooling or rebuilding mode"
BTW. IMHO, SF was a classic example of BPA drafting for the better part of the last 4 years to be where they are today.

Sanchez was the 2nd QB taken and whether you think it was him or not, he lead us to two Championship games and did play well in the playoffs.

Smith will never lead up to one, and he too was suppose to be a top ten and was a 2nd QB taken. But like Sanchex he will be far from the best QB taken in the draft.

Smith was an english major and talks like he has a mouth full of shit and can't put two intelligent thought together.

This was a great draft for the Jets.

Milliner is amazing, Geno is solid, Richardson is an athletic beast and the OL just got built.

It also showed the unity between Rex, Marty and Idzik.

The building blocks are in place and next year it will be about targeting high end WR, OLB and TE.

I get where you're coming from but..

    1. You can't fix this team in one draft.
    2. There were no big time playmakers in the draft.
    3. Austin was the top playmaker in the draft and was gone before our pick
    4. Be happy that we are building the team inside out and have a long term plan.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Sanchez starts next year, but if there isn't significant improvement, he's gone after 2013. I wasn't in favor of drafting Smith, but for now, I have to give the coaching staff and GM the benefit of the doubt regarding the pick. I'd really like to see Sanchez keep the job, but he will need a solid season to do that.

Just heard Pat Kirwan, Phil Sims and Jim Miller talking on XM on my way home. They were drooling over Glennon, couldn't say enough. Can make throws, stands in the pocket, zip it in tight holes, confident, and played a pro offense. Even said many teams had him not Geno the best QB. Not one offensive player other than Glennnon was drafted from his team.

Geno not so much. First thing they said was for everyone to slow down, he might have to sit for quite a while. He played in a staneg offense, played small for his size, and never saw him him make the throws you want to see a QB make. Phil said he pridicted 46 TDs and 4 Int this year and Geno went 42 and 6. He said in that offense he was amazed he through any Ints. They said Geno had lots of talent around him and would need it.

Oh well since Pat Kirwan, Phil Sims and Jim Miller don't necessarily like him, now your argument makes much more sense.

    Russell Wilson says hello ;)

Answers pretty much all criticism of this draft. No we did not fill all our needs but it was best to get value at the positions we could and take the time to built a great team on a great foundation.
