The only thing more entertaining than this thread would be the one if we actually won. I can only imagine how Wilson would have been discredited for that last drive with 4 remaining.

It's become a parody on here. It's like th Onion except people actually believe it.

    what else can he say

Zach is what he is…he can’t see the field well, he can’t process fast enough which is why he takes too many sacks, and he is wildly inaccurate when he does see the right throw…too many are in the dirt or over peoples heads

I’m not happy about it and I don’t have this hater agenda nor do I root for Zach or the team to lose.

I just react to what I see on the field. And I see one of the lowest ranked QBs in the league. We are now in year 2 and 20-something games in…the stats don’t lie over a large enough sample size.

I would LOVE to be proven wrong on Zach…I would LOVE to have him come in and shine. We haven’t seen it. Personally I believe the odds on ever seeing it are low. Not zero. But low.

    we’ll see

Again, how many people said White had a great game? Very few. Majority were saying White was the best QB on the roster, also true. It seems the Wilson side has spun that into people saying White has the fantastic game against the Vikings with again very few said.

On this we agree..I think great coaches tailor their system to fit the talent they have, and coaches who try to fit players into their system even if they aren’t great fits I don’t hold as high regard

Takes to many sacks really? What are your credentials? Do you break down the film?

"The frustrating thing is that this kid is going to be a good quarterback, but the NFL and this new instant-coffee world that we're in just doesn't want to give people time," Saleh said. "So, we look at him and he's just nitpicked with a fine-tooth comb."

How was he better? 0 TD's and 2 Int's is better than 2 TD's and 1 int? 40 more passing yards on 13 more completions is better? Not taking the lead ever in the game is better than driving the team to a lead with 4 min left?

Take a knee and just either stop it and admit you may be wrong.

I've never said he was a good QB - at this point in time. I've always said he has the potential to be good. But that potential isn't all on him to unlock. It has a LOT to do with the CS and how they develop and utilize his skillset - which they were fully aware of when they drafted him. I can see now that I was the idiot for actually believing they understood this, and moreover, that they had learned their lesson with Darnold that you can't just draft a QB and try to make him into something he's not. After all Douglas was here for that fiasco. But nope, here we are again, with the Jets trying to jam a square peg into a round hole. And it's not like the Jets have proven they can run the scheme they're trying to run - the "Shanahan Offense". Having the scheme is one thing, having coaches with the ability to adapt it to the players they actually have on the team is another. I'm so disgusted with this team's insistence on trying force fit a system on players rather than adjusting it to the players skills and abilities!

As to the "cherrypicking" of stats to support arguments - that's done by everyone. That's why stats are meaningless unless used consistently across all facets of discussion in the same agreed upon fashion. You don't consider throwing out White's Comp % and Yards as "proof" that he's the better QB, "cherrypicking"? Sorry, that's exactly what it is, when you don't also list the lack of TDs and Wins.

Finally, whether he "has it" will likely never be proved on this team for the reason I stated above, as well as for the reason that this fan base has zero patience for developing a QB. They demand instant excellence, regardless of anything else. The Jets have gone over 50 years since Joe Namath, and it's not only because they don't know how to develop QBs, it's because the fans won't allow it. So yeah, it's time for the Jets to move on from Zach Wilson, and to get a veteran star QB because nothing else will do.

It's amazing how many people just don't bow out when the ignorant is obvious.

Not an unfair take, but you have to acknowledge you’re setting the bar mighty low. But I pretty much agree.

You are an idiot for actually making a good point. It's all about emotion. Fuck Wilson, amirite?

Yup. He had a better game. Yards, more competitions, completion percentage, first downs, total points, time of possession, you forgot a rushing TD But that's Ok, less sacks, no intentional groundings, less missed receivers.. he had over 50 yards more also, I've noticed you keep on lowering that number.

The Vikings had 20 points before half so score/lead is also just a fluffer of a stat for you.

How on Earth is less completions better?

Notice how I brought up all these stats and things any the game, but I'm not saying anything (until now) about the Berrios drop at the end of the game? You should do that with the 4th quarter drive you bring up every post. It's not this saving grace you think it is. 17 points.

    You'll always have QBR!!!

And passer rating. And YPA and YPC.

The sad thing is we could have a normal debate but you have a massive hardon for me. I always felt you were one of the better posters on here but you let a personal grudge remove all objectivity. It's really sad. I'll put you on ignore and you can go on saluting White. Peace

If Mike White is healthy, it's clear to everyone that he's the better QB at this point in his career. He has more rhythm and touch on the ball. Sees things pre-snap and trusts his eyes. Zach makes the hard play look easy and the easy play look hard.... In today's NFL, especially with this Defense and receivers, the Jets need to take the easy play.

Why do you think Detroit stacked the box against Zach..They knew he couldn't beat them

He really did. I can’t make up my mind about the performance. He started well, but seemed to lose his composure for a big chunk of the game - that period where he was firing fastballs that were just off target. Then he pulled off some big throws to take the lead and give us a chance to tie. Not consistent enough, but I don’t think the Jets lost because of him.

Hahahaha you put crap into the hemisphere and cry people don't agree with it and consider it personal. I haven't made it personal once other than showing you you are wrong.

I've also said the jets should bring in a vet next year and White isn't a guaranteed starter, so wrong again.

I do think reporting people to ban while trolling is a bitch move though. Sorry if that upset you.

That is fine if you, @FrontOfficeFanatic and others are ready to move on. I am not. I think Zach Wilson has plenty of ability and showed some of it yesterday. He is still in his head way too much though. That is going to take an off-season to fix. Doesn't happen over night. He has way too much talent to declare you don't want to see him play another game for the Jets though. He needs to improve on basic things. Time will tell if he can or not.

I am seeing some fans being pro-Mike White and some being pro-Zach Wilson, but the truth is neither are doing enough right now to feel comfortable with in 2023. That is a big worry for me. Joe Douglas will have to make some big decisions going into next year. One of those options could even be that our 2023 starting QB is currently not on the roster.
