seeing 6 and 7 guys running at brady for those last 4 downs was amazing. No three man rush and 8 dropping back hoping to hold them to a red zone end zone attempt as time expires. Such a new vibe around this team - FINALLY!
With REX prevent means -PREVENT THE OTHER TEAM FROM SCORING With all others it means- PREVENT US FROM WINNING THE GAME
I don't know about anyone else, but I check the Jets official website (nyjets.com) almost every day. They add plenty of videos, interviews, highlights, press conferences there on a daily basis. Is this a new thing because I don't remember going there much last season. That also could be due to the fact that I could care less what Mangini had to say
Yeah, they've had that media section for about 4 years or so. I remember watching Mangini's early pressers on the official site in 2006. I lost interest halfway through that season.
It's right on the main page. It's freaking hilarious..I love Scott. "Are you excited to go up north of the border?" "Oh yea..looking forward to that 50% flat tax rate" He's also showin love for Pac. Double love this man.
I said it was on NYJ.com's main page. If u look in that small video section, the first video option you should see is "Bart Scott Week 2 - Interview on Barking with Bart Scott Radio". The link is the team's official web page. Yeah, I'd say it's new. Apparently, I didn't know about it til I stumbled upon it this week. He had a segment after Week 1 so I'll make sure to catch it sometime. But it looks like he's gonna have this segment at least once a week on newyorkjets.com
Last season the Jets would play a soft zone halfway through the third quarter up by 10. It was ridiculous, and is what (rightfully) cost Mangini his job.
Holy shit, it took Herm 3 years to figure out if he wanted to play a Cover 2 or the Bills style of D with Ted C, and even then there were times it never looked or felt like everybody was on the same page. When Cowart signed he was out of position and the scheme, whatever it was, was a joke. With Rex, he KNEW what he was going to run and went out and signed players for the exact positions he needed. Then he completely reworks a defensive scheme in a week and the guys perform it perfectly. Holy shit is about all I can come up with...
