Nobody said they weren't on a roll did they? The Jets remade thier team so losing to Oakland is OK? Complicated means viewing this Jets team thru a much wider lense than 7-3.

This IS the same team that lost on Oakland. This also is the same team that hung 56 on AZ and 47 on STL. Nobody except Miller has been cut so all the personnel is still in place. The difference is, although this team is developing an identity, its still prone to boneheaded coaching decisions at crucial times. Thank God they're developing big time players to go along with Farve.

I'd get more profound insight by letting my hamster run around on the keyboard.

They are not the same team that lost in Oakland. The whole team is jelling and all three phases of the team are playing extremely well. They exorcised some demons in Patsy land and they now have their destiny in their own hands.

If you only consider the players, your statement has validity however, if you also factor in the CS, that's where your argument starts to spring leaks. This team is "system" oriented in that they rarely if ever freelance even when the situation begs for it. How else can you explain the 3 runs into the pile in the first NE game or worse yet, the prevent defense called by Sutton in the second.

The achilles heel of this team isn't only its secondary, its the DC's lack of flexibility and agressiveness as well. For other teams, controlling you're own destiny is a good thing. For the Jets, its all gonna come down to the CS as to which Jets team shows up for the showdown in Tenn on out.

You can make those statements for every other NFL team. They all get conservative when they are leading, since they are afraid to make the critical mistake. Fans are way too hard on the coaching staff. No team is 7 and 3 with a poor coaching staff. They have a great specials team coach, a great line coach, a very good HC who is still in the process of learning his craft. Blanket statements about this coaching staff being poor are inaccurate. As usual fans take extreme views inside of being fair and balanced.

What's the obsession with the Raiders loss?

How many teams have traveled to the opposite coast and won this season?

They beat us by 3 fucking points in overtime after blowing a 4th quarter lead with under 2 minutes against us.

It's just a loss. We're still 7-3. We've still beat the Dolphins, Bills, Cardinals, and Pats amongst others. Losses happen. The Giants lost to the Browns, is anyone hold that against them? The Browns have one more win than the Raiders, are the Giants fans holding it agaisnt their team?

That Raiders loss is the only blemish on our record in the past 7 games. I don't see why that game is so much more significant than other games in the eyes of many.

Amen brother. Certain fans aka darksiders simply want to concentrate on the negative even when we're freaking 7 and 3 and in FIRST PLACE!
