I didn't see dbrick make any tackles or put any pressure on Schaub. He is a bust.

Just like to point out that D'Brick, that big softie, got his first unnecessary roughness penalty today. Has he developed a mean streak?

If Ellis wasn't returning next week, I'd say we put D'Brick's newfound badass self at d-end.

Did you guys notice Damien Woody lined up at LT for several plays today? Do you know why? Because the Texans were so frustrated with the way D'Brick was handling Mario Williams that they moved Williams over the the left side of the defense. D'Brick just followed him and shut him down over there too.

What I saw out of D'Brick today was exactly what I hoped he'd be when the Jets drafted him.

And he has a noodle arm. He can't win move the ball against good defensive teams that put pressure on the QB.

    the whole oline was superb.

Aside from the one "strip sack"....Sanchez was well protected throughout the entire game.

i wasn't aware. That's a brilliant move by the CS. So Brick knows the reverse footwork as well, but i can't imagine RT is that much harder to play.

That one was on Faneca. He got beat by a scrub lineman that I've never even heard of. Other than that, the protection was very, very good. Don't know what's up with our run game though.

Simple - the defenses are making Sanchez beat them.

i hope everyone realizes that we went over this more than once in the preseason - the Jet running game will not be as strong because defenses are playing to stop the run and they want Sanchez and his weapons to beat them through the air. That's why the yards come in the 2nd half, when defenses adjust to Sanchez throwing the ball and they play a little more honest.

The Pats played a great run defense yesterday. What beat them?? Sanchez, Cotchery, and Keller.

actually in the TEXANS game Woody did line up on the Left @ times but I don't think Brick ever moved over to the right.
It was just Woody on Brick's left, like an extra Blocking TE.
I may have to rewatch but i'm almost positive.

Brick did get beat badly once yesterday and Allowed BantaCain to almost take Sanchez's head off as he Gave him a shot to the face.
It shoulda been a Penalty but we should be used to the refs allowing JETS QB's to get hit in the Head and Driven into the turf w/No calls...
Other than that he was good.

I think Mangold and Faneca had sub-par games though.
Mangold totally messed up the 1 RB screen play we called all day and Faneca was pushed around several times yesterday.
Shit, the 1st offensive play of the game he was just annihilated!

I'm a big fan of D'Brick, and I think overall, he had a very good game.

    However...

He was burnt badly on a play in the redzone. I don't recall who it was, but some Pat but an inside spin move on him and then laid into Sanchez. Sanchez got the pass off in time, but it was a hard, blindside shot. And as we learned yesterday, a quarterback can get good and Bradyed after two many hits.

ADDED: Royal Tee saw the play^^^

brick had a couple of penalties in week 1 but had a great game against that now sub par pats D line. brick could very well meet his pro bowl expectations this year.

    Horrible game yesterday...
Not only for Brick but for the O-Line.

1 thing is for sure though.
Sanchez should have gotten rid of the ball but it was Brick who totally whiffed on his block, made NO CONTACT and almost got Sanchez killed in the EZ!

That was bad especially consider ing it was almost the same thing that that he let happen to Chad when he got his ankle crushed.

Look, Brick is right there but let's face it While he's been Good He'll never be a Roaf or Pace or Munoz then again, those guys were all world.

What upset me the most was that he was just jogging behind the dude after he got torched....

Normally there is something in place like "FIRE" when this happens but It didn't look like he was making an attempt possible because he thought Sanchez was going to throw it.
