Lot of annoyed Jets fans, rightfully so. JD whiffed on ZW, which was bad, and a lot of us, myself included, had a strong feeling he was going to bust. But teams miss on QBs. He also nailed the Jamal trade, traded up for AVT, just drafted both ROTY, Breece is a beast, and is taking a big swing with AR vs. settling for mediocrity with Jimmy or Carr. I just hope plan B is for Lamar because we can't go into next season with ZW or some weak QB as our starter. IMO, this is a done deal already and we can look to a shot at next year's SB.
If he doesn't play like an angry Kryptonian, the fanbase will turn on him like rabid wolves. Especially if this team doesn't make the playoffs. God forbid the Saints make the post season and the Jets don't.
I won't give him kudos for doing his job. He should be going after any top players that are made available. Rodgers can make this a top 5 team in football. I'd be concerned if he wasn't trying to acquire him. Having said that, if Rodgers decides to retire, I'm not going to call for JDs head. He went for the big move, and came up short. It sucks, but it happens.
