Playing it? absolutely soccer is more popualr, every kid plays soccer as some point b/c it's the easiest game to play for kids(relax, I know adult soccer is very different). as far as viewers and attendance? Hockey is mroe popular. It's kind of a not fair comparison since we only have MLS, I think if we had the caliber of soccer that they have in Europe soccer could be a popular sport here. I don't think that will ever happen though, not in our lifetimes.

There goes junc with his own qualifiers, who gives a shit if they "normally watch soccer" that means their numbers don't count? So because people who speak Spanish normally watch soccer their numbers don't count in the ratings. By that logic should the millions of people who watch the NFL every week not count in the ratings for the Super Bowl because we "watch it every week"? I used to deal with media advertising on almost a daily basis for 6 years prior to the recession and I tried to sell advertising using your logic I'd never have made any money. If you worked at ABC how would you have sold ad time? The WS, SB, etc.. are all aired in spanish as well- do we count those #s too? No we just count the NBC, CBS, FOX #s. The folks that watch univision are those that can't speak English, that don't try to speak English. I don't consider those folks part of the #, if they want to watch on ABC then they are part of the #.

I live in reality, we know who watches univision. I have in laws from Puerto Rico that didn't learn English until later in life and they don't watch Univision but the folks that don't want to assimilate are the ones that watch that channel. AGAIN, in 2010 the NCAA #s DOUBLED the WC even combined w/ Univision. No, the Mets blew a 7 game lead w/ 2 weeks to play which is much harder to do. Says the guy calling the Yankees the Bankees. A guy whose team has led the NL in payroll most of the last 10-12 years yet hasn't won a damn thing.
