And the Mets are right back on top. I wonder if Randolph will keep Mota in.

Yankees payroll and media types saying Mets have no chance with pitcher injuries have me in a bad mood. I don't know why the others are whining.

I love Reyes, and Beltran, and Delgado, and Wright, and not Shawn Green.

because our "manager" just allowed mota to blow a 3 run lead against the heart of the dodgers order in the 7th inning

I'm glad I was able to pull of an emergency turkey sandwich before the game started. I have 2 backups, just in case of extra innings.

Does anybody have Maine's pitch count? I had to step away to walk my dogs and missed the part when he was removed for a PH.

I'll have to say I was most dissapointed in your whining. I remember you to be one of the voice of reasons in these game threads.

80, I believe. He was removed for Feliciano after 4 and 1/3, not for a PH.

I'm in a bad mood because the only other NL team I respect is StL. The Mets shouldn't be struggling at home vs LA.

are we going to start up with the nonsense again? there's no defending willie's managing b6/t7. luckily the guy in the other dugout is as bad or worse then him.

So I guess it's back to the "Willie blows it" sig if the Mets lose?

I would certainly give you the last two runs. I had no problem with Mota starting the 7th, and if not for Valentin there's only one run, but there's no way Mota should have been facing Nomar - especially when the Mets are carrying 12 pitchers.

Having said all that, here they are in exactly the position that they want to be - handing it off to Wagner with the lead. If they lose this game it will presumably be on the ol' redneck.

It's amazing how we heard about how great the AL was all year, and the two worst teams in the playoffs are AL teams (Tigers and Twins). (And I'm not a Johnny-come-lately with the Twins. I wanted no part of them in the playoffs because they would wilt against the Yankees. Fortunately, it appears that the Yankees will not have that particular cakewalk.)
