I like to goof around and make fun of the Mets but I really do wnat to see a Subway Series. the ONLY reason i do like to make fun of the mets is b/c of the posters on the board, i never cared about the mets prior to that and I still like to see them do well as long as they don't do better than the yanks which for a generation they haven't.
nyjunc is like Mike Francesa he just wants to build Met fans confidence up just to cover his bases in case they do lose. He'll then have all the ammunition in the world to gloat about the historic collapse the Mets pulled. :smile:
I don't gloat, I am a gracious winner BUT when other fans attack my team then i have ammo to combat that and shut them up quickly.

I don't ever get invloved in a gameday thread during the game. Maybe after the game I will post something but i never get shots in unless shots are fired at my team first.
I for one do not want to see a subway series...not that Im scared of the mets.....especially now with the injuries......BUT..playing the mets is like fighting a girl, if you kick her ass noones gonna think much of ya but god forbid the chick gets a cheap shot in when you aint looking, youre never living that down
The Yanks have already been kicked in their proverbial balls by their proverbial little sister in the scenario you describe, so I doubt a loss to the Mets would create much more of a buzz.
I would actually be rooting for the Mets to go all the way if the Dodgers weren't Red Sox West. I want Nomar to get a real ring, and if not, then I hope it's the Mets.
I'd root for the Mets, but I'd rather see a Dodgers/Yankees WS than another Subway Series. Good luck though.
