Bring on the Cards!! or the Padres.. who really cares, Mets should beat either one of those teams!!

Congratulations Mets, I'll be pulling for you the rest of the way now that the Yankees have choked their chance at a title away.

I've never watched much baseball but enjoyed watching this game today.
    Congrats to the METS.

One thing that stood out to me....HOW MUCH FREAKIN SALIVA CAN ONE PERSON SPIT IN ONE DAY?

Once i noticed it (pretty much straight away) it was amazing that every time the camera showed a different player was his cue let some fly. The place must be covered by the end.

A bit off topic, but did anyone else realize how absolutely terirble the Fox Announcers were. I mean, besides usual. I don't think they did ANY fact checking at all before they went on the air. Wagner has imploded "tons of times" this year. Willie was hired "three years ago."

Sorry if this has already been mentioned already.

Not those 2 incidents specifically but about 30 other comments, yeah

I don't like Buck but at least he brings some semblence of a clue to the booth, McCarver and Brennaman might be the worst announcing duo in history.

Back from behind enemy lines. Dodger fans were ruthless tonight.

I lost track. For some reason those stuck in my head. The fifth inning(or fourth, don't remember) I found interesting as well. Furcal was leading off, and before any pitch was even thrown it was announced that this "had the makings of a big inning." I just laughed. And Biemel cutting his hand at an "after-hours" place was funny. I miss SNY

My favorite was McCarver insisting that baseball had to "do something more" for setup men, like create a stat, like holds or something.

I liked them talking about how Jeff Kent has been like Derek Jeter in the postseason his entire career, when up until this year his numbers were worse than his regular season numbers.

My favorite was McGarver telling us that the Dodgers were not intenionally pitching around Michael Tucker to get to Reyes..

Congrats Met fans and good luck the rst of the way, w/ the Yanks out I can't root for you anymore b/c it would be unbearable around w/ the Met fans rubbing it in but good luck.

I wish my team played w/ half the heart your team shows. Your team is not allowing any excuses to stop them, they are just playing great and you have an excellent shot to win it all. Enjoy the rest of the playoffs.

No, no, I realized that we're all wrong - the best one was when McCarver said in the first inning that all year Trachsel has been "slow and methodical ... with great stuff".

That game was so long i forgot about some of the Trachsel related gems in the early going. After Trachsel was through 2 on 20 something pitches McCarver declared that this was a "typical Trachsel start" and Brennaman decided that Trachsel had pitched "a great game" after 3 innings.
