another run left on 3rd with less then 2 outs, but with a 4 run lead you hope it doesn't matter

Didn't look like Wright went, but no argument so...

You just understand the game better now.... that allows you to realize that McCarver sucks... always did. Over analyzed, and incredibly, was often VERY wrong in his observations of what sound baseball fundamentals were and are. That why Fatcessa likes him.... he doesn't understand the game either. O wish I had kept a log of some of McCarver's bogus comments over the years... it would fill a book.

Proof that old dogs can learn new tricks? I still think that he was much better 20 years ago than he is now, but I would agree that the advances of statistical analysis of baseball in the past 20 years has given me a much deeper appreciation of its subtleties.

seeing as they've already broke an NL playoff record for combined hits, let's hope this last inning and half goes uneventfully

    You're an inning early.

You know, I absolutely agree that Lofton should have taken a pitch, but does it make sense to say "guys who've been around the game a while don't like how the game has changed" when Lofton has been in the majors for 16 years?

It'll take a choke of Yankee proportions to blow this game.

Just remember, no such thing as a safe 4-run lead for Wagner.

And once again the Dodger fans scream wildly on a routine fly ball to the outfield.
