It appears that he forgot about Pedro Feliciano and Chad Bradford, probably the best bullpen duo in baseball.

I actually agree with you, but the Mets should handle the Dodgers.

Mets vs Dodgers would be a good NLCS. I can see Piazza hitting a walk-off HR at Shea

Piazza is on the Padres, and the Mets are playing the Dodgers in the NLDS.

    Duh.

Do you routinely fantastize about Piazza? Something you want to admit to us?

He's kind of hurt, his back acted up after one inning on Thursday in Colorado, after giving up three runs. Before that he has been pretty bad over the past two months, I'd trust Kuo right now ahead of him. If Grady holds Penny back to a Game 4, that's about 10 days rest for him, which can only help, the way he was going.

Lowe has been our best pitcher, along with Maddux, but Maddux pitched on three days rest on Saturday and has only been going 6 or 7 innings with low pitch counts. I'd imagine, the way Brett Tomko has been erratic as the 7th inning guy, that Grady might try to squeeze an extra inning out of Maddux if he can.

If it goes that far, Game 4 would be Brad Penny, Game 5 would be Derek Lowe again, on full rest. Probably vs Hernandez.

Those pitching matchups look bad for the Mets. Lowe is usually at his best in the postseason, Maddux and Glavine is close, and the Mets can't seem to hit lefties. Should be a good series.

Disregard the first post. Switch the Game 2 and Game 3 starters around for the Dodgers.

Why doubt me? I said Traschel would not lose a game until the WS.

Besides, I thought I read Maddux was pushed up to game 2 for Glavine vs. Maddux.

Metsblog is reporting Maddux vs. Glavine in game 2

The good thing about Maddux is you know he'll be out after 5 or 6 innings, regardless of his pitch count. or, at least, thats the way its been for a while now.

I'm rooting for Maddux in game 2 for purely selfish reasons. I have tickets, and it's going to be cold that night. With those two pitching, it could be a 2 1/2 hour game. Thank God it isn't Trachsel, or my father and I would be popsicles by the 5th inning.

We're going to bring up Lowe's October history while ignoring Duque's?

i dunno...i think when that lefty shut the mets down its because the mets always struggle against rookie pitchers they see for the first time...i think now that theyve seen him theyll be fine...

personally i feel confident headed into this series....

Anyone have any idea what time game 3 in LA will take place? I'm trying to take some time off work to go to it.
