What does that have to do with what we're talking about? The fact that he's a bad teammate or has a bad attitude doesn't have anything to do with his ability to hit in the clutch.

I would gaurantee that Endy starts tomorrow, only question is who sits between Floyd & Green? I thought Milledge should have made the roster.

    Green sits.
As far as Milledge, there are beer vendors at Shea who were more deserving of the roster spot. Don't cry for Lastings.
His time will come (on another team after he's traded with Pelfry for a starter under 40).

I'm not one of Milledge's biggest supporters but I do think he would have been more useful than say Royce Ring.

The Mets are signing Zito this offseason, there will be no need to trade either prospect

    Random question, but:
Why is Mota charged with 3 ER's? Weren't there 2 outs when the runs scored? J/W...?

I'm too exhausted to write a full recap, needless to say, awesome game.

    I love post season baseball.

They must've scored the Valentin play a FC(saying the runner would've been safe) and the error was on allowing him to move up to 3rd with the bad throw. Otherwise 2 of the runs would've been unearned.

Yup. You can't assume the out at second base, so progressively, all the runs count as earned.

But at this point, it doesn't matter :)

I thought you could assume the out on a FC, but never the DP?

Nice fucking game, fucking Met fans. How about our 3rd base coach, huh? Vote him a share of your winnings.

    So let's see here:

    WP-Mota
    LP-Penny

Lo Duca: a couple hits, tags out two guys at home on one play (on a play started by Shawn Green).
Hee-Seop Choi: out of the major leagues.

If you put your ear to the forest you can still hear the sound of Paul DePodesta fucking up the Dodgers. You know a GM sucks when he's still killing you a year after you can his sorry ass.

Onward to Game 2!!! I'm going out of town, hopefully will be able to post. Coming back Sunday night, will miss the Jet game, too. May the better team win the series. Fuck that, may the Dodgers win!!

It's DePo's fault that the Dodgers hired braindead idiots to fill out their coaching staff? Bringing Penny in to pitch to the top of the Mets lineup after the Dodgers tied it up was one of the worst moves I've seen in the postseason...well since the last time Grady Little managed in the playoffs.

Mota got the "win" but he blew a 3 run lead(not entirely his fault, he shouldn't have been out there and Valentin let him down) and even if you want to credit Green with the 2 outs at home he cost them a run with his bat and another with his glove in the 9th so at best he "broke even".

I like the one with Manuel and Willie pointing from the dugout.

    They both look shocked. LOL
