That was a very nice read. Funny how the worst ERA(Perez is 2nd Worst) is Suppans.

If that article is foreshadowing a slugfest than I think the Mets are in good shape as the bullpen has pitched very well in the last few games (with the exception of Wagner, of course)

Regardless of the stats on Perez...I have faith.

Don't remember who said that, but I know that I lobbied heavily for the Mets to bring him up in August and make him postseason eligible, saying that you could never have too much lefthanded pitching, just in case. We'll see after the game if it was worth it.

i think that would be great...

but the thing is i dont know if the mets can do that...who will start?? if el duque comes back then i say get trachsel out of the rotation for sure but definitly insert him in the bullpen for long relief or a relief appearance just in case we need oliver to relieve a starter early...

that would be the ideal situation i think

I'll bet you any money you want that if the Mets make the World Series, Trachsel won't be starting Game 1.

For my own viewing pleasure, I hope it's a 4-3 game in the 9th inning and the losing team gets a rally going, and something happens eventually. I want to be at the edge of my seat since this Game 7s are great drama.

    Have fun tonight guys.

Yes, I want a save situation in the ninth inning, I don't care who's in front. Just let me see a save situation.

You know we've yet to have that really really close nailbiting extra innings classic in this years playoffs...I fear today might be the day.

I'm rooting hard for the mets but I don't like our chances today with Perez. It's going to be close, gut wrenching. go mets

I'm rooting hard for Perez tonight. I've always been a fan of his.

And no matter what he does tonight, I feel he is going to be an effective part of the Mets rotation in the future once he fixes his control problems. That was a great move by Omar and a stupid move by the Pirates to give up on a young lefty.

Rick Ankiel will be a great pitcher one day when he fixes his control problems.

Wait, you mean to tell me the Cardinals switched him to a full-time outfielder years ago? I'm shocked. Shocked, I tell ya.
