I'd like it to be called the "Soilent Green" defense

I like Band of Lunatics and Stimulus Sackage.

As for Ryan, I like the REXorcist.

I wouldn't mind that one. Although you spelled it for the band and not the movie.

I'm pretty sure there is, I just read it in a bullshit thread the other day. It's the term guys on aircraft carriers use to describe the force that could potentially knock them off the deck during TOAL.

edit: stimulus sackage made me lol as did Syd's Revis and his 10 D-ciples

    but REXECUTIONERS

    is just too good.

Someone needs to photoshop the Band of Lunatics' faces onto the Band of Brothers cover.

Band of Lunatics is very fitting by watching the expressions on quarterbacks faces.

Jesus, why does everyone like Peter King's stupid pet name. Lunatics are crazy...half our defensive players are calculated and methodical...get a grip people.

I have to agree with you on that, lunatics implies something derogatory. The Jets defense is more of a criminal mastermind situation. For the record however, I do like the sound of "Band of Lunatics" and the fact that it symbolizes the fear of someone who's partial to the New England Patriots.

I don't think King meant for it to be a compliment. Using it upends King. Offenses will be hard pressed to admit defeat to calculated and methodical but may be willing to admit a loss to a Band of Lunatics.

D-Rex. It's quick, it's catchy and easy to put in big letters on the back page of the newspapers ! Because let's face it, it's the sports writers that will decide on the nickname.

TheGangGreen should be the nickname for the D.. (and it would make this forum real popular too)

Another 1 I like is The Dirty Dozen. (Rex makes the dozen, heh a bakers dozen)
