Very few teams actually use their centers as a pulling linemen unless it's a sweep play to the outside,that's what made Mawae so unique.Mangold has shown the speed and ability to get outside so I reckon we could use him as we used Mawae,but i don't know if we will. One thing to keep in mind is that he is a rookie,having him pull on top of his other duties might be putting too much on his plate.
On Sunday I saw one play near the goal line where Mangold lifted up Jr Seau and pancaked the crap out of him..If anyone can find that clip I would love to see it again.. I do not have such expertise.
