One thing I would say about Rex is I loved him at times and completely frustrated by his actions at times. I can get why Coke players loved him but as head coach u can't be a sideshow. Yes he might have been screwed by Idzik but he benefited Tannys spending and some of his draft picks left more to be desired. Kyle Wilson, Quentin Couples and Dee Milliner are big time busts. And when all of those guys cant even get on the field none the less start it seriously worried me about how he evaluated talent, I kno he can coach talent evaluation was never his strong suit.
I like Bowles. No, I am wrong. I love Bowles so far. The guy looks legit and he has what I ask for in a coach or in any type of a manager. 1) Stay calm in tense situations. 2) Develop people under you. 3) Put your people where they can showcase their talents best. So far, Bowles is sending all the right signals. BUT, there is still time. This is NFL. Things change pretty quick. A team goes from good to bad in an instant or a coach goes from genius to idiot in a few seasons. I still will wait to finalize my judgment since 1 year is not enough of a sample size but the guy has really impressed me. PS: Side note. I love how he has elevated himself from Elizabeth. Being born to a black family living in a poor city and achieving so much in his life to this point makes me respect him a ton more. I never wear football jerseys to games or any other time. But if I was, I would write Todd's name behind my jersey this year.
That would be because of Mac and the fact that Woody let him have his own staff. The Jets have had a front office oddly built since the early 2000's. Finally a cohesive staff hired under the same GM.
