The talent wasn't great I renember Jason Campbell looking pretty solid before he got hurt, that injury forced their hands into trading for Palmer.
If not for Jason Campbell getting injured that year - the trade prob never happens. It was def a huge panic move. I remember when we played them in 2011 - they were killing us.
Word of warning for any team considering hiring Rex, Look what happened to the two HCs we had before him and the teams that signed them after the Jets fired them. Neither will ever get a HC job again and they are only good for sound bites. This is the fait of Rex, a has been HC with a shitload of sound bites. Rex was only good when he had the talent that was build before he arrived. Rex know nothing of Special Teams, Offense or talent evaluation. We need an offensive minded HC that can get and grown a real QB.
After Harbaugh (who's going to Michigan), Rex Ryan is the #2 coaching candidate available....that's who I want!
I would be pissed. Fuck no. No thanks, no fucking way. Rex has accomplished way more than him as a HC, the guy we just fired. That would make zero sense.
I'm starting to hear some rumbling that Marrone could opt out of his contract (72 hour period to opt out with change of ownership at end of season) and may end up with the Jets.
I'm sorry.. Let me correct you. John Harbaugh's Ravens are in the playoffs, backing in to the playoffs at that, all while having immense offensive struggles all year long. Ummmmmmm.... Again. No thanks.
I did, as a coordinator though.... Guys like McDaniels, McCoy, Philbin has head coaches.......ehhh hasn't worked out.
