so then you rule it dead, as housh isn't moving. i honestly think a mid rd pick could easily happen for TJ, or burleson.

Why would seattle trade housh just after getting him?

they aren't. i believe the point is to assume trading jones to SEA is pointless.

tj was the afc leading rusher in 2008. im a little concerned about greenes supposed knee issue and leons contract woes. sorry if this team is gonna play smash mouth football tj is needed here.

I'll reiterate....if Tanny is smart (which i believe he is)...he'll trade Jones to SEA for a draft pick. Otherwise, it's a waste of time.

whoever suggested Houshmanzadeh probably wears a bib and drools at the dinner table.

i agree he is needed here. but that's what you can expect for a 31 year old RB.

Jones for a 3rd/4th wouldn't be a bad deal, but that's assuming we have a solid replacement in Greene or Caulcrick which seems like a pretty big question mark (though I do have high hopes for both of them, especially Greene). I am dying to see them get LW the ball a lot more this season, but I don't think he fills the same role as Jones does.

Whether you want to see TJ traded for a draft pick depends on whether you see us competing this season. If so, he's a valuable member of the team and could have a serious impact on our success. If not, he's gone before next season and you may as well bring up the future. If it happens, I'll be ok with it. I'm just suspicious of the why and the when.

Whether TJ is traded or not...i'm impartial. He's proven that he can carry the rock and is very durable. I'm quite content having him as our starting HB this season.

If the Jets feel he's expendable.....that's fine too.....his age and current value would dictate such a transaction.

With all the speculation of TJ being traded for Boldin or Avery or Housh.....I just wanted to add some perspective by saying that it would make sense if the compensation was a draft pick.

trading tj for a draft pick in the 2010 draft gives us nothing for 2009. no way in hell rex ryan allows that deal to go down. trading tj for boldin that would be a helluva deal. otherwise tj needs to stay put.

i highly doubt that was serious, at least I hope not, for the sake of jets fans' reputation.

Well, Avery was a joke, Housh is retarded, and Boldin would be nothing more than due diligence after our pursuits earlier this season and the early injury to Wells. None of the three will actually happen, which I also hope everyone realizes.
