NFL to add extra wild card team in each conference??

    Its oversaturation to me. You occasionally have 8-8 teams getting in with the current setup. This would open the door to 7-9 teams getting in more often then needed when a conference has a down year. Look at the nba where more then half the teams make the playoffs and the majority of the early round matchups are one sided snooze fests.

    What they need to fix though is teams who win crappy divisions getting automatic home playoff games. A playoff spot is a fair enough award for a division winner in its own right. 8-8 and 9-7 division winners shouldn't be getting home games against 12-4 11-5 wild card teams. That type of scenario has happened over 10 times since the divisions were reformatted in 2002 and its a flawed setup that a team can win a piss poor division and be an opportunist and get a home game they don't deserve.

    :eek:fftopic: L.A . has no team, neither does San Antonio, Birmingham, Memphis, or Portland.

    meanwhile, Hawaii has wanted a team , like, forever. but, he plays games that count in London , while cities in the Usa can not even get a regular season game, let alone a team. :sad:
