I don't get the hard-on people get when these so-called football experts are in love with the Jets, and I also don't get how someone NOT loving the Jets makes these same people depressed. The only thing you should care about is how our team performs on the field. Anything else is bullshit.
Till an AFC East team (US!) beats the Pat's twice in a year and wins the division. The Pat's will remain to be the team to beat.
The Pats are the class of the East until they are dethroned. We're getting closer, but so is Miami. The Pats will be ready though, more now than last year too.
Dude, I got mad as hell and left this thread a while ago, but I went and blazed a bowl of kind and forgot all about this thread. Now I'm fucking mad as hell again. Bye thread.
for fuck's sake, it isn't as if he picked the Bills to finish ahead of the Jets. he picked the Patriots, who won the division last year and are led by one of the top coaches and QB's in the league. right, what a ridiculous possibility that might be.
Patriots win every year and ESPN loves them why would you expect anything different. Besides its just offseason talk to kill time til August. Besides the guy picked every division winner from last year, he probably found out he was going on the air that day like 20 minutes before the show started.
as good as we think we are, the pats are still the defending afc east champ, the division still goes through them.
sarcasm or not. thinking that bc of what we did last postseason and into the offseason we are all of a sudden the top of the division is foolish. end of story. the pats, while on a decline, are still dangerous. considering they won the div last year, have a healthy brady, and had all of 12 million draft picks to fill their ranks should keep them on the top of the division. anyone with logical capabilities would come to this conclusion. next year, you can make this thread, and it won't be roflsauce.
I don't want anyone picking the Jets. I feel a lot of anti Jet talk from the national media because we got rid of the great Thomas Jones and 7 time all pro Faneca and we signed a washed up LT and trouble makers Cromartie and Holmes and of course Braylon will be crying for the ball. All this plus hard knocks and no one is picking the Jets. THANK YOU MEDIA. Keep the hate going
Agreed. We have a lot of hype surrounding our team and undeniable talent, but if someone picks NE to win the East it's completely understandable.
I don't necessarily agree with this train of thought. I do not think you will find too many people saying the Bengals are the team to beat just because they were north champs last year. Also when the Dolphins won it 2 years ago, they hardly were regarded as the team to beat because they got walloped at home against the Ravens in the wild card in the 2008-2009 season and people did not see positive of a direction for the team. Last year, the Patriots got beaten down at home against the Ravens in the wild card, and its very hard to believe that they are moving in a position direction, especially given their lack of addition in free agency. Once we peel back the mysticism of "the Patriots" that the media has done such a great job at propagating we have a team with a poor running game, questions about WR depth, and no defensive identity. Can you honestly tell me that if you slapped a Buffalo Bills logo on the talent this team has people would be calling them the team to beat? They have not won a playoff game in two years, and have struggled mightily with any legitimate opponent. A very interesting stat - Out of their last twelve games last year they played only 3 teams with above .500 records at the time they played them. Guess how many games they won? 0. This is not an elite team guys, this is a middle of the road team that is decorated with past championships making us believe otherwise. Other people said "well they won it 7 times this decade" but past events do not necessarily predict the future. The Patriots are literally a shell of the team they were in 2001-2007. I have not seen any future lines out in Vegas about over/under wins for the Pats, but if its 10 and a half or over I'd place a healthy wager on the under. I can not see them winning more then 10 games. Honestly, in my opinion 8-9 is where I see them, hardly the team to beat in a division with both the Jets and Dolphins.
Mastermind? Don't you mean he's a pretty decent coach who helped himself to Superbowls by spying on other teams?
