Do the Jets play Rodgers a little more in the final couple of preseason games now? Obviously not hoping they play him for the entirety of any PS game but coming out strong @SF could set a strong tone for the rest of the season.
Yeah I agree. Just wonder if they would put Rodgers and NY at 4:05 secondary. I feel like that Arizona game screams TNF but how would they put an east coast time on a short week at a west coast team. Would be weird. Maybe you're right about the 4:05 start week 2.
Just speculation if I was a scheduler maker for the NFL. If the team is already out on the west coast why would you make them travel back to the east coast then head back to the west coast?
It is but it may be better to get that one out of the way first.... Of course they could surprise us and actually pull it off too....
Joe Buck said the Monday night crew gets the Bills twice. I wouldn't be surprised if one of those games is against the Jets. Allen and Rodgers are made for primetime. Matthew Bové on X: "Joe Buck just said on Good Morning America they've got "the Bills twice" So I think we'll be getting the Bills on MNF multiple times #BillsMafia" / X (twitter.com)
We had a pretty favorable travel schedule last year so you're right. We are about to get fucked this year. Short week TNF @ Arizona into travel home for a 1:00 pm game Sunday followed by London vs Minnesota. Skip the bye. Then on the road for 3 straight.
Agree with you but with the return of Rodgers the Jets were always a good bet to start week 1 in primetime.
How so? Toughest opponent on our schedule in the longest travel spot and we don’t have anything before it to make it more difficult. Pretty ideal..
We had to play them anyways so whatever. It also means our OL is actually going to be healthy going into this game vs a team with a nasty pass rush. 49ers are also going to be without Greenlaw and Hufanga is probably not going to be 100%. Shanahan teams historically start slow as well. There could not be a better opener for us IMO.
