Still chuckling about the NFL ruining a bachelor party... THE NERVE! I hope there is a strongly worded letter in progress.
Pittsburgh game will be big, if we could go in there and start 2-0 it will change everyones view on the Jets and our season. I suppose we should let Tebow start and let him torch there old ass defense again.
I see. It's the JETS' fault that the Pats didn't make the playoffs. Talk about spin. Here's another one. If the Pats don't get completely embarrassed with the unveiling of the WC in their first meeting with Miami that season, that final game between NYJ-MIA is irrelevant.
Whoevers blames another team because they dont make the playoffs is stupid. You have 16 games to make your mark and win games. I still hear Eagles fans telling me that "the Eagles did what they needed to, to make the playoffs, but the Jets losing to the Gians is the reason we didnt make it". That logic is stupid, how about if you didnt start 4-8 you would have made the playoffs....
damn i'm glad i didn't meet one of these fans what a nerve from them to blame the jets, after santonio holmes gave them that week 15 win against us
The Jets are neither dysfunctional nor mediocre. Once again a perfect example of an idiot non-Jets fan buying into media hype. Go away, Pats troll.
Yeah it pisses me off, how can you blame a team from a different conference as the reason why you didnt make it? I heard shit like "we did what we needed to do, the Jets didnt". Its so ridicolous.
Other than kool aid drinking Jets fans, everybody else knows the Jets are a mediocre, dysfunctional team. But I guess the media across the country is wrong.
This mediocre, dysfunctional team is the only team in the AFC east that consistently gives you problems and provides a real chance to screw up your playoffs. GTFO troll If you have a problem with kool aid drinking Jets fans, then why post and read on this forum? I've read some of your posts regarding the patriots on this forum for a while, and I've come to the conclusion that you are the biggest kool-aid drinker of them all, sir. For you to actually believe the Patriots team will continue to dominate the AFC East regardless of the presence of Brady is the definition of delusional. The fact of the matter is, your team struck gold with a HOF QB, and the odds of that happening consecutively are extremely low. The sooner you realize this, the less it will hurt when the pats become just as irrelevant as the Bills are.
well we are what the record showed and thats 8-8, a .500 team. until that changes we have to accept the bashing.
Are you serious? The Jets have not finished with a better record than the Pats in over a decade. The Jets do not "give the Pats problems", they are more like an annoying mosquito and nothing more.
I'm sure that's exactly what you were thinking when they went into Foxboro during the 2010 seasons playoffs and eliminated the Pats from the playoffs.
2 of the last 3 seasons the Jets have advanced further than the Brady's including a thumping in Foxboro in the div rd in the 2010 playoffs. the dynasty days are long gone for the Pats. You still control the division in the reg season but in the last 4 seasons the Jets have twice as many playoff wins.
I agree the Pittsburgh game is enormous. Week 1 against Buffalo will be no cake walk, they sometimes play well when they are relevant (the 1st month) but the Jets should be able to win this one at home - A good start to the ground-and-pound style as the Bills can't/won't be able to stop the Jets running game. But Weeks 2-3 are HUGE. @PIT Very tough to win in Heinz field anytime and they are especially tough early in the year lately, before the grind takes a toll on their aging defense - I would have liked to have seen this later in the year. But it will be a big challenge, would love to see a Big game from Mark Sanchez here. Miami will suck this year but facing them in Miami week 3 is a tough break. Again I would have liked to have seen this later in the year, especially in that heat, the 1PM start time and there might actually be more Dolfag fans in the building than Jets fans for once. Miami gives the Jets trouble and this will be no small task. ( i think we kill them later in the year in NY though) I could see it playing out this way. Week 1 - close low scoring win vs. Buff Week 2- Sanchez surprises with a big game and win @Pitt Week 3 - Jets team/Sanchez take a step back with a stinker in MIA and lose that would mean week 4 against a damn good defense in SF at home. Yikes. Sanchez could naturally struggle here and after the MIA game the Boo birds and Tebow cries will be out in full force. This will be a key game, the fans don't have to influence shit though - Rex can stick with the plan (majority Sanchez) which I think the rest of the season will give the Jets success.
Depending on how we do in that stretch before the bye I'd say even with our so-called "dysfunctional team" we could finish 11-5 or 10-6. As long as Sanchez and/or Tebow can hold it together in those later season games we should be atleast a wildcard
For everyone who hates the TG game, supposedly the Jets requested to host the TG night game. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/20/s...dy.html?pagewanted=2&_r=1&partner=rss&emc=rss
