You're probably right but if they are looking for a guy to stretch the field as a 5/6th spot guy, as I've seen some claim we no longer have, he looks like the best available to fill that roll. Also, he would be cheap.
Yeah, I could see that. Idk what we'll do honestly. I think we'll stay put at WR for now. I do think we'll make a couple moves at corner though. We have a lot of young talent at receiver.
You know it's really shit when I'm trying to talk myself into thinking Leon McFadden is a viable option.
Boyce is probably a better bet, he couldn't produce because he couldn't grasp NE's playbook and gain the trust of Brady, who is notoriously difficult to get on the same page as, a new system could help him. Boyce is still very talented and showed flashes when he DID do the right thing last year.
I can't believe Denver cut Ihenacho. Yeah they got TJ Ward but Ihenacho had such a breakout year last year, I thought they'd keep both. Surprised a lot of people.
Yeah my Bronco buddy isn't too thrilled about it. I'd be begging for the addition, but we really don't need safety help, UNLESS AA becomes a CB, and we then have no depth behind the aging Landry, and behind Pryor.
He sure as hell won't be clearing waivers. There is no chance in hell every NFL team passes up on claiming him. Someone will.
We need bodies, fix this issue next offseason. I dont think Idzik wants to give a guaranteed contract so he might wait till after week 1 to sign Bailey or whatever potential replacement.
Mentioned this in another thread, but WR Michael Preston was (surprisingly) cut by the Titans. He's young, has great size and caught a couple scores last year. Wonder if he could be an upgrade, maybe send Enunwa to the practice squad
Free agent WR Da'Rick Rogers worked out for the Bengals on Tuesday. He didn't get the job, as the Bengals signed Greg Little instead. Rogers has NFL talent, but can't keep his affairs in order off the field. He's liable to remain on the open market for a long time, perhaps until teams hand out reserve/future pacts in January. Profootballtalk.com This would be the low risk move I would love Idzik to take. This guy had a monster career in college, good size and made some plays last year for Indy. Obviously a DUI isn't ideal but he would be top 4 WR on our squad.
