I'm pretty sure CBS would have been thrilled with Favre in the game vs either Manning or his old team, also a New York team. From a media standpoint it probably would have been irritating for us to make our first Super Bowl in 41 years and have the entire thing be about Brett Favre. We have the whole Brett Favre season coming up now anyway, all the way through mid August.
