4? 2nd best in the AFC last year means 4 overall? bullshit. 3 or better. Maybe even 2 with offseason moves by the other teams and us factored in.

I like our team against any of the great passing teams. We will confuse their QB and neutralize their receivers. Against great rushing teams I'm a bit more skeptical. We should be okay with Jenkins, Harris, and Scott clogging the middle. Usually when teams beat us on the ground last year, it was on the outside. That's why I'm a little worried about Ray Rice in week 1.

I was actually saying the same thing about Feely. I said it about Brien when we signed him. I just hate kickers. I was right about Brien, though. He was a bum.

That signing still leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I'm sure I'll get over it when he's having an amazing season in Rex's scheme.

Just because you make it to the AFC Championship Game does not make you the 2nd best team in the AFC the following year.

If Folk starts bad he will be gone well before mid-season, I don't think his leash is long. I liked Feely - a good guy, usually dependable kicker but he did cost us the Falcons game and did not do us any favors missing those two FGs against the Colts. That miss to start the second half was HUGE.......

any ranking that has the fish as high as 16 is worthless.

and the number 4 spot goes to the vikes.

How can you say that? If a team that went 9-7 can be considered 4, is it really that big of a stretch to say we are a middle of the pack team?

I think thats fair. You guys deserve to be top 5 based on making it to the AFC championship, and we just fell out of making the playoffs

Momentum matters a lot. The Jets rocketed up at the end of last year and Miami tailed of with an 0-3 finish. 10-16 is good for you guys in a preseason type, does not mean shit, power ranking.

We all know, well the ones who look objectively anyways, that Maimi and the Jets are very close in terms of over all team make up. On paper the Jets look better but the games are going to be very close this year.

It just shoes the parity in the NFL now. There really is a lot of good teams.

wouldn't surprise me one bit. Foxsports has only one thing that makes them reputable in the sports world: they broadcast games. other than that, their website, and how they get information to the fans is as amateur as rotowire or profootballfocus.

I'd put us at 6, with the caveat that preseason rankings don't mean shit.

    1) Saints
    2) Colts
    3) Vikings
    4) Cowboys
    5) Ravens
    6) Jets

Vikings are a completely different team without Favre, he had a insane year in 09. If he comes back I would put then ahead but not without.

I have zero doubt that Favre is coming back. He just doesn't want to go to training camp.

If Tavaris Jackson is playing QB, however, I slide the Vikings back to 6th and move Dallas, Baltimore and the Jets up one spot each. Even though Jackson kind of sucks, their running game and defense are still gonna be great.

I think it's better to not set the bar too high..4 is still a very solid place to be considering it's not like we barreled our way to that championship game last season.
