I like the HD feed. I like some of the analysis. Frankly the network telecasts have gotten so lame in the past few years that the NFLN telecast doesn't look that bad. Its a bit amatuerish but I kind of enjoy that as opposed to the overproduced ultra slick and smarmy network telecasts with nine guys sitting around a desk trying to be funny and talk about cover 2.

In their defense, they were working in a stadium not accustomed to holding an NFL game and were probably unfamiliar with the surroundings for mike placement and such.

I know the radio team (1050 WEPN) was saying they weren't able to get any replays from the NFL Network since their booth was not equipped with the NFL feed. They had to rely on the feed to the scoreboard for any type of replay.

The NFL Network pre-game was far better then channel 11's.

Carton and Lopez looked lost on whatever it was they were doing.

I'll agree with you there. The major network telecasts are overdone in some respects, what with robots walking around the screens, graphics on top, bottom, constant fantasy football scrolls, mini-sets of footballs fields in a studio as they try and simulate a play for us- it's a bit much.

It's just that with last night the game was so damm flat, nothing would have convinced me that I was watching a regular season game if I didn't know it, not even considering the fact that it was in Toronto.

I honestly can't stand Millen. Not because he's a terrible announcer, but because he has made it clear to the football loving world that he knows nothing about running a football team, or what it takes to become a winner. I automatically discredit anything he says, whether it seems to make sense or not. This dumbshit did select 3 1st rd. WRs three years in a row...

NFLN also had a few plays where they were drawing on the screen, and left some scribble on it during the play. Very annoying.

They get a pass altogether though for failure to bleep out McDaniels rant on the sidelines last week. After all, "All we are doing I trying to to win a motherfucking game."

The post game was worse...they talked about the game for like 5 minutes and were behind in the post game interview with Rex. I don't get SNY. But ESPN news had better postgame coverage.

All you have to do is tell them that the Leafs still suck . Unless they're from Buffalo in which case can't really say much except that their city is pretty shitty.

The crap and homo bits did liven it up a bit. The fans seemed a tad sedated but I don't enjoy a stadium feed that is ramped up to sound louder than it is and make the announcers hard to hear.

If there from Buffalo, ask them about the Sabres then.

Sabres are doing well (first place in NE). That's why I said you can't say much.

That's because the Sabres now have an owner who is willing to spend the money unlike the Bills and Ralph Wilson.

One of the best bumper stickers ever was from the early '80s that read:

"Go Bills, and take the Sabres with you."

I like him, I think he's a Jet fan. He got out of ESPN just in time, before it turned to total shit.

His timing was good. He's from Staten Island and when Deion can he'll call the Jets "your team, Rich"

He still has the best nicknames or bits for players. He calls Pierre Garcon "Peter Waiter." I think that's hysterical.
