like any other venture capitalist. wait until the day the nfl lock out goes official. (probably 2 weeks after the superbowl)

sell before july..lock out will be over.

i just realized though....one year without everyone dropping money on nfl shit could be a back handed stimulus to the economy..

I guess I'm being optimistic, but I can't see both sides killing the golden goose.

Basically this. I worked for Time Warner and the negotiations with networks like FOX and shit would always come down to the very last day. It's a good old fashioned staring match.

This is all bullshit publicity to give the public the fear that a lock out is coming. Think about it how much money would be lost ALL AROUND (Players and Owners )if the season is canceled. I just don't see this happening.

In light of seeing Mambo9's post, "Forbes: Numbers Show NFL’s ‘Economic Realities’ for Lockout Unwarranted",
Thought I would share this link found on the Football Outsiders' Site.

    From: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/50-days-away-a-lockout-looms-larger-than-ever?urn=nfl-306224

I been holding out on the potential hold out myself. Starting to get curious about it now because more time is running out. Will need to read some more and digest, before discussing...

I haven't been following the CBA negotiations very closely because, quite frankly, there's really no reason too. These things always seem to happen right before the deadline. I wouldn't put much stock into anything you read in the next few months.

Yeah, it's the same shit you always see with labor negotiations and strikes. There's always an 11th hour deal when everyone's balls are clamped in a vice with their backs to the wall. Both sides will flinch and compromise.

That article sounds like a precautionary measure that the NFLPA would take whether or not it seemed likely that there would be a lockout. I still don't believe there will be a lockout. Did D. Smith realistically set the deadline for the end of the regular season? Is that realistic? Really?

    I don't see it.

At the 11th hour, there will be an agreement.

No way the league and the players will risk alienating the fans, especially with fans not having jobs right now. That would be awful if that happens. Can't imagine it. It will be solved.
