No doubt - always happens - u can go back thru decades of drafts back well into the 70's to find examples of this.

And they are always anonymous too..I would love to have one of these names leak out and then have that team draft the player they blasted only to have the player say fuck you I wouldn't play for your team on a bet.

Honestly guys the scouts who watch these guys all year and through the combine and pro days are all sitting right next to each other, chit chatting about the players. This stuff is so overblown, did it ever occur to you guys that maybe Ebron isn't all he's cracked up to be? I watched his game film, he has outstanding athleticism and burst from the line, but he doesn't run any tricky routes. His athleticism may be enough to help him win in college but he has a lot to learn about the TE position. He is an ok blocker but he doesn't have a high football IQ, and he rarely if ever plays to the whistle if the ball isn't in his hands. I'm not saying he couldn't be good someday but he isn't worth a top 10 pick, no way. Top 20, perhaps, but I could probably list 20 guys I'd rather have.

I have to agree with your assessment. He is the type of player to excel in college because of his raw athleticism, but I don't think that's enough for him to excel in the NFL. I personally would rather stay away from Ebron in the 1st.
