yea, if we got AJ i think our defense would have the best MLB combo in 10 years ( possibly an over statement, this is only if hawk lives up to the expectations)

I'd say Cutler and the best RT left on the board.... yeah, quasi need strategy. Then Mangold if he's still there at the second round. We don't have a QB, and we don't have an O line. Wait till next year for a running back.

Other, I'd say Cutler and DeAngelo, and then best available o-lineman round 2.

#4 - DE Mario Williams NC State
    Abe who?

#9 - RT Winston Justice USC
This is a bit high for him, but it is our biggest need.

    Round 2 C Mangold Ohio
    Kev's replacement

I realize this sounds really boring. Drafting 3 linemen with our top picks, but it would be the solid foundation that we need.

D'Brick at 4. If he falls, Vernon Davis at 9, if not, deangelo. (yes im going against my cutler pick from like 2 hours ago). Davis was said to have the greatest tight end work out at the combine in history. I saw him on ESPN in some obstacle course thing with sinorice moss, deangelo and some other ppl. AND HE WAS INSANE. He was speeding through everything and caught all of the rather terrible passes from V. Young. I think he is an Antonio Gates kind of TE. Big, Fast. Could easily be a number 1 target. And along with Brick, can really help out pennington. My argument against drafting cutler is..pennington will probably be resigned and it's not worth it to have a multi-million dollar qb sit on the bench.

Does this mean you like Bollinger as the starting QB?

    #4 Jay Cutler.............QB
    #9 D'Brickashaw.........OL
    .....Lendale White.......RB
    .....DeAngelo Williams..RB
    .....Vernon Davis........TE
    .....AJ Hawk..............LB
    .....Mario Williams.......DE
    .....Winston Justice.....OL

I dont think Williams, because i think that we will get McGinnest, but who do you guys think we will take with #9? (if we get it from Detroit for Abraham)

Or trade down with the 9th pick and get a bunch of picks... we all know we need a lot of talent/help

vern and d'brick should be the picks, then in second max jean gilles or mangold.
this will set us up for the future. Our o-line will be the future and we will have a go too tightend to lead the way. We can make a run for LeCharles Bently. Think about it. D'brik Max-Jean Gilles Bently Moore Jones Davis. Our Quaterback will be Pennington our Full back will be Bernstein and RB Maurice Drew.

Next year we get a QB, CB, WR in the 2007 draft

Nope. Chad deserves one more shot. Sign a vet back-up like we did last year with Fiedler. Maybe Aaron Brooks (if he is released) or Frerotte (likely to be released). Bollinger as #3 (or a late round pick).

Picking a QB with #4 may excite the masses, but they won't be so excited when he is laying on the ground holding his shoulder.

If it falls apart with Chad or the vet back-up, we will likely be picking high again next year.

    I meant to mention this...
But we sign Kitna to mentor Cutler & compete with Pennington for the starting job. He mentored Carson Palmer, and hes now one of the best in the league, and its only his second season as a starter...

the choices were pretty lame but a 'B' for effort on the poll.

    #4 Jay or Vince
    #9 White or Williams

    Offense is fixed.

#36 pick and 3rd round compensation pick for C & OT

But assume that we sign McGinest, then would you still draft Williams, AND we need help on the O-Line... What choices would you have that would be better?

I am sick of hearing about cutler. He is overrated. You guys keep talking about him but he has not even proven himself yet. We have a great quarterback as it is the only problem with him is injuries. give him a break. lets talk about getting d'brick and vern davis. davis will lead us for the next 10 years along with d'brick. We could think about Brady Quinn next year but lets establish and build our foundation (O-line) first before talking about a qb

What team are you an NFL scout for? You seem to know everything about Cutler, so I'm just wondering.

Vernon Davis and Deangelo Williams. Wow talk about a core of explosive players. Best available RT in the 2nd. Vet QB if Mangini thinks we have a chance of being successful. Otherwise Chad and BB can take the lumps in a transitional year.

You claim to know your "s--t" yet you say we have a great QB... Pennington is mediocre when healthy. He has always had a week arm.
