Too much discussion going on today about the draft, I couldn't wait until tonight to update it. I guess Monday Night's game skewed the strength of schedules enough to push us back to the fifth pick after all. St. Louis picks ahead of us based on their inferior conference record I believe.
Rambo, Just trying to get an answer on this, but super great effort in this thread: One question: Based on Opponents win-loss percentage, shouldn't that be sorted in descending order? A higher win-loss percentage by your opponent means generally you played tougher teams. That would make us tied for 2nd. Isn't that right?
No it just means that you suck but the other team couldn't do better with a easier schedule. You should do better with an easier schedule not worse.
Way to go, San Fran.......freakin' boneheads. Them, the Raiders (Moss trade) and Miami (Welker trade and also you never trade a player within your division) should be taken out to pasture to be SHOT. If there is any silver lining in this whole thing, its that New England's 2007 draft wasn't exactly a big hit. My buddy up in Massachusetts said football minds are 2nd guessing the 1st round pick of Brandon Merriweather S (he missed an easy open field tackle on MNF, by they way). And we have their 2nd pick of that draft on our team - Kareem Brown. So they basically missed in 2007.......feel any better, folks?
Yeah I'm not sure what they were thinking on the Merriweather pick. Seemed like a reach in all regards and a ill fit for their team. Good thing they didn't take Harris who would have been a great fit for them.
From what I remember on draft day, the JETS pulled the trigger and traded up in the 2nd round specifically to keep David Harris from falling into the PATS hands.
I'm sure the Jets will manage to get one more meaningless win to insure they draft some fat useless lineman that turns out to be another bust 3 years down the road.
Nah he means that there were reports a week before the draft that the Pats were dead set on David Harris at their 2nd 1st round pick, at pick 28. They went need ahead of value with Merriweather and traded their other for what looks to get them a top pick in this draft.
Yes. That's actually what I meant. I just didnt say it right. But there is another good thread in the DRAFT area from Don Banks of SI who is redoing the 2007 draft today and he put Revis at #14 overall & Harris at #15 overall (instead of the 2nd round where he ended up).

You probably said it a hundred times Rambo, but are you including the win/loss of the teams that haven't been played yet? Like are the Titans and Chiefs factored into the Jets Opp Win% in the table?
