But is Long a "lock" fit at DE in the 3-4. Find an answer and get back to me. You'll find varying answers from posters here. Most would agree McFadden is a bona fide running back, whether it's for us or any other team.
I was high on McFadden for a while till I saw how good Chris Long is. He's Howie Long's son and plays in the 3-4 at Virginia as a DE, so yes he is a lock to fit into the 3-4
I'm not a fan of rooting for my team to lose, but I do root for other teams to win. Other then the 9ers and Rams, they all have a good chance of winning. Game 1 Atlanta 2-6 Carolina 4-4 Game 2 Bills 4-4 Dolphins 0-8 Game 3 Rams 0-8 Saints 4-4 Game 4 Bengals 2-6 Ravens 4-4 Game 5 Bears 3-5 Raiders 2-6 Game 6 49ers 2-6 Seahawks 4-4
Everybody had a chance, but I can't say I'm sad the Fins lost again. The raiders are a threat though, they play @Minny-@KCity-Denver-@GBAY-Indy-@Jville-San Diego. They could very well lost out.
Due to me being at work and the most up to date copy of my file being at home, I will update this in the evening.
Gary Myers of the New York Daily News, in his spot on YES football show, said the Jets should not pass on an opportunity to draft Darren McFadden. Says he's a Adrian Peterson-type running back - did anyone watch his running against South Carolina? - who could improve a meager run offense, despite the recent money given to Thomas Jones. FWIW.

The distinct possibility exists that the Pats can win the SuperBowl and draft one of the best college players. A New England team wins a championship and then drafts in the top 5 the same year? Wow that can't have possibly happened before. I bet the team that did it before ( if it ever happened) probably won like 8 more championships in the next decade.
Long or McFadden If both fall to us who would you want? McFadden is like AP without injury problems and you've all seen what that can do. Long is basically our need.
I think it would be really difficult to pass up on a talent like McFadden. It really depends what happens in free agency. If the Jets can acquire a pass rusher (i.e., Suggs) and an impact DE (i.e., Justin Smith?), then go for the RB. But if the Jets still have issues with the DL, it needs to be addressed in the draft.
This is a neat thread. Thanks for doing this. Anybody have any indications how this draft shakes out as far as which positions are the deepest? Is this suppose to be a good draft for DL and LB or a weak one? Thanks
4 teams (SF,STL, Oak & NYJ) with 2 wins....Jets have highest PCT.............Move to 5th with win over Steelers.
