At least we're picking ahead of Patriots at #7

The only team I could see taking Gholston ahead of us is the Raiders because Al Davis is obsessed with physical specimens. Let's pray they don't.

    MIA-Glenn Dorsey
    STL-Chris Long
    ATL-Matt Ryan
    KC-Jake Long
    OAK-McFadden

    Nevermind we not getting McFadden

Well, with the way I figure things, the picks could very well be (assuming no trades):

    1) Miami- DT Glenn Dorsey
    2) Rams- OT Jake Long
    3) Falcons- RB Darren McFadden
    4) Chiefs- DE Chris Long/OT Ryan Clady
    5) Raiders- DT Sedrick Ellis/DE Chris Long
    6) Jets- DE/OLB Vernon Gholston

enough with golston its all about mcfadden and we will have to probably trade up we need a playmaker and if not why not matt ryan clemens does not look to be the answer

Aside from Ryan, the other four are locks.

Ryan shouldn't be a top 5 pick. He isn't a Russell or a Leinart or even a Cutler. I could see him falling to the top 10.

peterson fell and look at him........knowing this, i think that teams will have this in mind as they have the opportunity to draft another super RB prospect in next years draft.

only good thing for the jets may be vernon gholston.

ok---miami doesnt need a franchise RB, neither does STL, atlanta needs a QB in matt ryan, chiefs are set with larry johnson, OAKLAND is a huge possibility for DMC. this is all considering whether no other teams trade into the top 5.

hopefully gholston will come out early and will still be available.

I'd be ecstatic with Gholston...if he doesn't come out we should trade down and grab a Kenny Phillips or an OT like Baker or the guy from BC

Can the game tonight affect the order at all because of the impact it could have on SOS tiebreakers?

Jake Long would have looked nice in a Jets uniform but there is no way that the Chiefs AND the Raiders pass him up.

there probably going to trade down to dallas and get 2 ol like cherilus and clady and then take schuening then are line would be sick jones would be able to run and clemens will have time to throw to coles and cotchery

rt d brick - his original position
    rg clady - huge
c mangold - is he alright from the injury?
    lg schuening - good fit
lt cherilus - will block great on good pass rushers

that would be sick and then we sign and trade to improve skill positions

i'd rather sign bell for lg and stacy andrews for RT.

    sign karlos dansby for OLB.

also try for gibril wilson and/or nnamdi asomugha.

then PRAY that gholston is available at 6 and we stick him at DE/OLB.

There seems to be a big drop off after the top 4 (Dorsey, both Longs & McFadden). #6 seems to be Linebacker territory, unless be roll the dice on an OT like Baker. That's not a position I'd like to spend such a high pick on. Ideally, we'd like to trade back, but there doesn't seem to be anybody worth trading up for.

Bell would be ideal for our LG needs.
Dansby is proabably the best value in free agency.
Gibril Wilson would be much more feasible than Asomugha (especially if we are lucky enough to land Dansby AND Bell)
Stacy Andrews is really more of a guard. We need to find our RT in the draft (the best ones will be gone by round two).
Gholston will be there at # 6 unless no one takes a QB in round 5 but I think he is a huge reach at that spot.
