Maybe they met with him numerous times, and found out that he wasn't their guy in those meetings. Rubin out of Iowa State is still available, right? He can probably play 3-4 nose.
rubin is still available, true, and he probably would make a pretty good 3-4 nose. do u think we'd take another nose even tho we already have jenkins and pouha???
Doesn't have very good speed and lacks a burst to recover...Is not fluid when he has to flip his hips...Does not have quick feet...Isn't real strong or physical...Not a great tackler...Has trouble in man coverage...Average versus the run..Needs some technique work...Not an ideal fit for every team...Only two years of DI experience. thats why im complaining.
Those INTs by Lowery weren't cheapie tip-drill type interceptions. He's got pretty impressive ballhawk skills...and by all accounts is a playbook junkie and definitely a high character guy. I see him as a nickle/dime or safety contributor. I admit I'd never heard of him, but after reading and watching videos, I think he's a good 4th rounder for a position of need.
Im gonna reserve judgment on this one. People seem to be happy about it so it cant be that bad, just from what I've read I'm not too impressed, but i have been wrong plenty of times before.
First of all it is the fourth friggin round. NO ONE at this point is all positive and ready to play. Second, you just ignore all of his strengths and ignore the clips. You are really complaining because you never heard of him, be honest.
yep, complaining because ive never heard of him you got me man. im upset because when you read his weaknesses, there are parts of his weaknesses that you cant help him work on, things such as speed. like i said, i could be wrong, but why the fuck is it that people cant have an opinion on this board?
He seems like a potential safety prospect- like many have said, he seems best when the ball is in front of him. Remember, Abram Elam who really isn't anything special played safety for our squad last year and he's generously listed at 6'0. He doesn't have good hands and made some bad plays. He's probably a better tackler than Lowery but Lowery is miles ahead of Elam in coverage skills. My guess is Lowery will play safety initially.
yeah after watching those highlight films, especially the draftguys one, I think that Lowery has crazy good ball skills, but because of his stiff hips, he likely can't match up one on one with guys (in our system we demand our CBs to be able to play man to man) so this tells me they think this kid can transition to safety, and by the way, how crazy good would it be to have 2 nasty ballhawks out there at both safety spots with Revis locking down the opponents top WR? that to me is great news.
To you guys that know a lot more about college football than I do, why isn't Andre Woodson a proper NFL prospect? I really like his potential, but I'm no expert.
