If I have to add, I would go with 1 OLB and 1 SS by 4th round pick. [Probably 2nd and one of the 3rd.]

The other three will depend on how Geno pans out - if Geno bombs the rest of the way, 1st will go to QB. If not, TE or WR.

This.......in addition what a prev poster stated - that there be conditions attached to trade - where if dude fails another test & is suspended, compensation in the forms of picks, etc. are awarded to Jets.
A very "iffy" gamble; He's got loads of talent but "head" problems.

The rest of the trades in that article are like fantasy football shit. Gordon to Jets probably looks as ridiculous to non Jets fans as the rest of those trades look to us.

Hey look at the upside of the a trade for Gordon: the Jets could approach the record for most offensive weapons suspended in one season. They've already had Goodson miss 4 games, now they've got Winslow out for 3 more games after missing last weekend. Gordon gone for the season would be the perfect capper for the Jets.

We could do promos with the kids from West Side Story.

"Officer Krupke, we're down on our knees, cuz no one likes a kid with a social disease..."

The only way it would make sense for us is if we protect ourselves with some clause getting a pick back if he gets suspended. That wouldn't make sense for the Browns, because if they are trading him, they think it's because he is going to get suspended again.

There really is no deal to be made. It's not a wise move to trade away weapons when you are planning on drafting your franchise QB, and Cleveland knows this. If they think Gordon is capable of being a long-term reliable weapon, they wouldn't trade him.

This is exactly right. Cleveland is looking to draft their QB (again) and they already have their LT and their #1 WR. If they're looking to trade the WR that tells you that something is wrong with him.

Why did Cleveland trade TRich after 2 year then? Trust me they would unload Josh four a second. Also that opens this team up in so many directions. We get a proven NFL wideout; not Charles Rogers. That also allows us to go in a number of directions for the remainder of the draft. If Barr or Evans are there in the first you take them and then in the third you load up on safeties. Add a clause to the trade...

Every player in the NFL can fail a drug test. What makes Josh Gordon special is that he has already failed multiple times. He's already proven to the entire league that he'll risk suspensions even after he's been caught.

Which is why he's still sitting on the Browns while they're hoping to get back a 2nd rounder.

The last example I can think of a player, a WR specifically, that the board rallied against due to potential suspension was Brandon Marshall. How'd that turn out?

The Browns traded Richardson because their evaluation told them he is a bust and that the prior management made a mistake.

Gordon is different. If he is such a great talent and if he is so cheap for two years and if he's worth such a high pick why is Cleveland trading him? They know something we don't and my guess it has to do with the off field issues. There will not be language in the trade in case of a suspension. teams do not just trade great players to aquire picks. The Browns are telling you by putting him on the block that there are risks involved with this guy and they are trying to unload a talented risk - buyer beware. And buyer gets all the risk.

Also, Cleveland has the same exact record as the Jets . Do not act as if they are somehow a "dumber" organization at this point just looking to be easily duped. They are very close to the Jets in their efforts to build a winner at this point.

Honestly I'd take the risk of a 2nd Rounder for Gorden
