At the same time that Green Bay TE's muff may've cost the Packers a Super Bowl. Monumental choke if Seattle wins this. Put it this way: what if the Jets were in the SB and in the same position as the Packers with a 2-score lead with 5:00 minutes to go only to whiff on the onsides kick and go on to lose the game?
Well I guarantee you you're going to be tied at best but more likely boned when you leave Rodgers 1:20 with 3 TO's and the Super Bowl on the line. You take a knee and punch it in with too little time for GB to reply at 85-90% success that means you win the game 80-85% of the time. That's a lot better than being 50% in OT if you're lucky enough to hold them to 3. If you can't punch the damn thing 1-2 yards when you have to have it with 3 downs then you don't deserve to go to the Super Bowl. It's as simple as that but the coaches have to protect their jobs and the players have to pad their stats.
