    fyi, take the points means betting the underdog. :)

    if you want to bet the favorite you are giving the points (since you have to "give away" a certain amount of points)

    you most often hear "take the points" in this manner:

    "this game could go either way, so I'll take the points"

    New England -7

    and a NE/SEA teaser gets you New England -1 and Seattle -1.5

    I like Seattle over NE in the SB

    pick'em right now, I think Seattle will take money and become the favorite
