Not to be pessimistic but its really hard to win in this league... We can have a team 2 times better than this and still not make it back to the AFC Divisional Round, let alone the AFC Championship game.
Teams in my mind... Vince Young's Titans years ago. Kerry Collins' Titans last year. Baltimore Ravens this year (they barely made the playoffs). Atlanta Falcons last year.

Bright futures mean NOTHING in the NFL. Great things are usually unexpected.

This team needs a CB to pair with Revis. As you saw today Revis held down one side of the field while the other guys got torched. They need WR depth not a 1st rd pick.

Today's game was lost due to our offensive and defensive philosophies. We can be a run first team and rely on our defense to win games, but that's just going to give us another 8-8 or 9-7 season. We need to be a balanced team or else teams will stack the box like they've been doing all season. We were the best rushing team in the NFL because we had the most rushing attempts. If this offense wants to take a step forward, we're going to have to throw 50% of the time at least.

If we scored even one touchdown in the 2nd half, our defense would have been better rested and the Colts would of had less time to score. It might have been 27-24 Colts instead of 30-17 Colts with 4 minutes to go. Who knows what happens there. In the future, with a more consistent and balanced offense, we can score more and our defense gets more rest. That means we win more games and maybe we can host an AFC championship or two. But it all starts with a change in philosophy...

Keller/Sanchez connection really started to brew in the playoffs. The timing is starting to get there, I feel great about this tandem next year!

Keller definitely stepped up, especially in the red zone, and I've never seen someone so adept by the sidelines to get two feet in as Cotchery. Braylon is the athletic freak of the trio. We just need someone quick to catch passes underneath to have an incredible receiving corps.

to be honest I think it's a waste to use our 1st round pick on a WR

this guy has to be a MUST have keeper or else I go defense

I really think Keller will have a huge season next year. It's taken awhile but he has finally become a favorite target for Sanchez like we thought he would. edwards and cotch are fine. it would be nice if we could find a slot receiver but those can be found later.

Our first rounder should be on defense, I wouldn't mind grabbing a receiver in round 2 or 3 for depth though.

QFT. The small, shifty guys are never first day picks.

Cotchery has friggin magnets in his shoes! It's amazing how he gets his feet down!

Also, Clowney has to go. The guy is a one trick pony, and he gets owned off the LOS, or he runs out of bounds. We need another viable deep threat.

Keller will definitely have a better season. The only reason why he had a below average year is because we threw the least amount of times in the entire league. There just weren't enough throws to go around. If we commit to a 50/50 run-pass offense, I think it's safe to say that Keller will explode.

Golden Tate might be avaliable by early 2nd. The most logical thing to do is trade our first for a second and another pick.

I agree. While a ground and pound team with a strong defense sounds great, IMHO the recipe for sustained success is an offense that has multiple weapons that the team chooses to use that can help the team win any type of game. I'm glad that Rex said that next year's offense should be more balanced.

Without becoming more balanced offense and taking advantage of any situation (ie. like trying to score with 1:10 left at their 30 yard line) the potential won't be realized for consistent success. The more balanced you are on offense, the more flexible you are to adjust to any game condition. That will help the Jets in the future to become consistently excellent.
