If they play on Thanksgiving I hope they bring out the old 1980s-1997 green helmets. That would be great

We do play the Giants next year- Thanksgiving would never happen even if Dallas and Detroit weren't set in stone. Every single Jets - Giants game in the past has been 1:00 on a Sunday. I read somewhere that the NFL would never schedule a Jets-Giants game for primetime, they fear fan rowdiness would be an issue and they don't want that shown during primetime hours...there must be some truth to that, you would think MNF or even ESPN would have gobbled up a Jets-Giants game at least once.....

Ehh. You'd be surprised at the number of people who don't care about NY-NY rivalries. The Subway Series of baseball in 2000 had some of the worst ratings in World Series history. It's not really a national thing.

The Lions will host the Buccaneers in 2007 if both teams finish in last place this year. Tampa Bay won't play on Thanksgiving in consecutive seasons.

Cowboys at Lions obviously will not be a Thanksgiving game.

Broncos at Lions and Chiefs at Lions are also out.

Therefore, the Lions 2007 Thanksgiving opponent will be one of the following teams:
    Bears
    Packers
    Vikings
    Giants
