Considering your post was near-incomprehensible, I would think that you would be gracious to me. Comma way too much? As far as 'not much upside', it's still a completely ridiculous notion. Do you even know what brady brings to the table? Cassel was able to hold his own with 2 of the best receivers in the game. Brady was winning Super Bowls with some of the most mediocre wideout groups in the league.

Yeah, I noticed these kind of stuff during season too but pretty much kept it to myself. Always was able to find something more worth saying. Will try to get back to that.
It's hangover from the eggnog. And yeah, maybe that there's nothing much new to say after a while. While the OP's point was certainly not revelationary, it at least was something different than what the last 253 threads in a row here have been, some kind of criticism of internal Jets situation. What's wrong with one lonely thread about the problems outside of the Jets, at our main division rival, as a changeup? I guess I just got irritated that abysshole had to step in yet again to mock & rip someone a new one for not being sufficiently profound for his tastes in trying to do it, and momentarily lost it. Just accept that there is not a lot new to say right now, dude, and lay off people if they don't deliver it.
Oh christ. Should have let the sleeping dog lie. Mea culpa.

I love how people who joined for Favre want to dictate how this board operates now.

clearly, because great teams never deteriorate and continue the same success for years on end. that must be why there have been so many teams to win 4 or 5 straight Super Bowls.

So no one can distinctly tell me the reason why Brady is next season's problem?

Besides that his team won 3 Super Bowls

The real issue with how much Brady's history means in how much he would upgrade the Pats is really twofold. One is whether his injury and recovery will permit a return to his former form. I am not engaging in wishful thinking, I hope, in saying there certainly appears to be some question about it.

The other issue is the Pats' performance this past year - there were plusses and minuses. A big plus was Cassel, eventually, who played quite well, and was not that much of a dropoff from Brady. If Brady returns at less than his past level of performance, as a practical matter that might not mean all that much better performance than we saw from Cassel. The minuses were some less than stellar running, an OL that was not quite at the same high level, and at least I perceived a dropoff in overall speed on D.

Will the Pats not be favored to win the division? I think they well might be favored, with our without Brady. Will his return mean even money odds on them going undefeated? I doubt it.

I see the biggest problem as being we have to play all sixteen games well if we expect to have a good season.

i see a huge problem being the quality of next years sched... so with our supposed physical, gritty style coming in, the end of the season could wear us right out.

Our team is not Sb ready so what expectations can we have other than finding a Qb of the future and fixing our Defense.

I find it amazing how much hatred and anger spills all over these boards. This guy sucks, you're an idiot, the Jets suck, Sutton sucks, F this player and that coach, I HATE that player, yadayadayada.

I've even seen people wish a likable guy like Ben Graham to have an awful Super BOWL performance. Sorry for the off topic stuff, but now some are even calling the people that run this forum idiots? GEEZE.... no wonder I took a year off from this site.

What ever happened to a reasonable discussion of players, strategies, coaches and football? If half the things said on these boards were said to someone's face, it would be in the Applebee's parking lot in seconds.

People get very brave when name calling behind a keyboard. Oh, and Spicer, I'll be at Applebees in Bethpage Friday night at 8pm.
