Let's say Bradford's contract is now $24m/2years since Philly is paying his signing bonus. What would you say to Bradford for Mo straight up?
I'd emphatically say no. If I were Mac and I received that offer over the phone, I'd counter with an offer of Kellen Davis for Connor Barwin and a 2nd, start giggling and hang up.
I don't know a whole lot about Bradford other than he can't seem to put it all together and breaks down fairly often. He's like an advanced stop gap/solid QB at this point. You could put into a nice spot where you have a solid backup and a fairly decent team around him and I think he'd be ok. That, however, is the problem with dumping Wilk for him or Kap at this point. Both are older (29 this year) incomplete QB's that will be 31 before this team gets completely sorted out. With Bradford that just means he's going to become more injury prone and Kapernick will lose the one consistent part of his game. Frankly in any trade where either guy was involved I'd need to see some quality pick(s) coming back our way.
I listen to their station on the radio, its better than the ESPN garbage South Jerz gets. Oh they are as delusional a fan base as any. I heard them talking lasts season after a preseason game of winning 14 games. Yeah howd that go? They keep talking on the radio now about how were gonna trade for Bradford and i called and was like uhhh if they dont want to pay Fitzpatrick, why would they pay Bradford more?
This trade doesn't make sense for the Eagles to me. They have Fletcher Cox, who is a similar player to Wilkerson and also needs a new contract.
I heard a trade rumor of of Dexter McDougke for David Wright. Is that correct? I would offer up Juan Lagares tops. _
I'm liking my trade even more now that Brick retired. Browns: Mo Wilkerson Jets: 32 overall + Joe Thomas Browns have the money/cap space to make this move. They are analytical front office and Mo posts nice numbers. They would get a strong DT to play beside Danny Sheldon and if the Titans take Ramsey or trade out of first to a team who takes Wentz that leaves the Browns taking Tunsil to replace Thomas. The Jets get simular compensation to what the Pats got for Jones but obviously with different monies involved. We get Thomas to replace Brick and add essentially a first round pick (thanks deflate gate!) that Mac can add a good player with that pick and can go BPA and not reach for a LT.
I like this trade a lot. But I don't think the Browns will make it that easy, considering we don't have much leverage.
They are dismantling the team and what better way to start a rebuild than in the trenches and from the inside out. By adding Wilkerson and Tunsil they would actually be doing it the right way.
