Location > velocity. 98 mph doesn't mean shit if u can't locate it consistently. Scott Proctor threw 98 mph.
He's throwing 98 out of the pen, not as a starter. And he can't locate it for shit. To compare this situation to Joba is ludicrous and any rational human being can see that.
Stewart has been held out this week with a groin injury. Romine is 4/31 with a .156 OBP. .350 OPS Nowhere to go but up.
To compare what? They both once threw 98 and that Joba no longer does. Explain the ludicrous part or maybe you just missed the point completely.
I apologize, then. I actually gave you credit for having a more sophisticated opinion on this subject other than the fact that they both throw really really hard. You can point to a number of mistakes Cashman has made in regards to pitching. Taking a 25 year old who's been a terrible starter for years now and putting him in the bullpen in an effort to extract any sort of value out of him before he runs out of options at the end of the year isn't one of them.
You could've just said "I have an irrational hatred of Cashman, tried to take a random swipe at him, and got caught" and saved everybody the trouble. But, I do admit, this is more fun.
Texeira's grand slam helped propel the Yanks past the Indians. Pettite did get roughed up and looks hurt (or just old).
Been a good week for the Yanks. Teixeira back and hitting well, Pettitte and Sabathia with gems, won 5/6. Keep er goin.
thankfully he will be gone next year. I remember reading for years how he was a "can't miss prospect" and a future ace :rofl2:
