I saw today where Youkilis is married to Brady's sister. I can't imagine what it must be like for him to play in NY and for the Yankees..yet he is doing great.
I've heard Brady is a Yanks fan and saw him at a game last week. That's pretty odd to me, but if Jason Taylor can suit up for the Jets I guess Brady can be a Yankee fan.
Good win tonight for the Yanks. Sabathia stands tall and Mo shuts the door. We're winning ball games with Nunez, Nix, Wells and Ben Francisco in the lineup.
Jeter out until after the break. Found a new break in his ankle. Haven't missed him too much yet but I wonder how long that will last.
What's going on with Romine? You'd think with all the hype he got as a prospect, he'd be good enough to make the roster. Hot start at AAA this year. .385 BA in 9 games.
Wanted the sweep today, oh well. Good point about Romine but Cervelli has been hitting well, could see Romine up later in the year.
bases loaded, 1 out in the 9th, tie game, Chris Stewart bats for himself terrible AB Ichiro did come up next though and got a clutch single
Couple of good wins over Toronto. However, Cervelli is out 6 weeks with a fractured hand. Looks like it could be Romine time.
Totally forgot about this guy.. Michael Pineda, who missed all of last season after shoulder surgery, pitched Thursday, reaching as fast as 95-MPH, according to Yankees GM Brian Cashman. "So he had a good physical day," Cashman said. Cashman told me the other day that Pineda should be ready for a rehab assignment this month. By sometime in June, Pineda could be in the majors. So with Arod, Jeter, Teixeira, Granderson and Youkilis all out the Yankess still have the second best record in baseball. Could be scary when they and Pineda all get back.
Phil Hughes with another gem today. Has been really good in his last 4 starts. Yanks and A's split first two of the series. LETS GO BOYS
That would be a HUGE get for this team, not sure how much longer they can keep Nova in the rotation he looked terrible this year and was horrific last season
