This is the reason why the Wilpons fucking suck. Instead of signing a veteran to a minimum salary they said, "nah, lets save the 3-4 million and just wing it like we've done the past 4 years". Now we have to deal with freaking Laffey until Wheeler gets called, and I suck balls Hefner until Marcum comes back.....in May

Thing is Marcum is no lock to play 10+ games with his inury problems..i can see Young being signed again so I can witness his 82mph fastball limp over the plate

Our outfield is a joke, no lead off hitter worth a damn and a No 1 and 2 , borderline 4 and nothing else...its all on Wheeler and D'Arnaud. They will pray Buck contnues then they can package him and davis for a good OF and move Duda to 1st base and see what happens

For me its all about 2014 IF these fucking clowns show no signs of spening money we should start building the fire to put them on!!

Anyway looking at my old work place of Minnesota ..looks like Frosty the Snowman should be lead off!!

I agree the only thing I would add is there seems to be some arm insurance in the minors for the pitchers (in the future) if they don't work out but little in the way of position players.

I read that Wheeler had an MRI yesterday on his hand. I would hope that is the not the real reason for keeping him in the minors.

Buck homers for the fourth straight game! An upper deck grand salami, and he is the first person in major league history to get 19 RBI in his first 10 games with a team. Mets up 10-2 with no one out in the top of the 2nd.

d'Arnaud has been Wally Pipped before he even got here!

Trade Darnaud!!!! While we still can...

On a semi serious note this will be interesting to watch as Buck may command some trade value

Harvey looks like he is a CY Young contestant and he's only a rookie (half)

I'm bummed... Wheeler is pitching in Vegas today and I am stuck at the shithole I call work. He might pitch Friday night and they're home so I might try and get out there for that.

3rd time out. He's been pretty average so far in AAA.

So far today, 3 IP, 2 runs.

I wish they would have left him in AA and just promoted him from there like the Dodgers did with Kershaw. Las Vegas is a hitters park. It's not uncommon to see guys hit near .400 while playing for Vegas. The PCL in general is bad for pitchers, of course I wouldn't have expected the Mets to have done their homework on that. A lot of good pitchers get roughed up in this league.

Jay Horowitz says Mets may play triple header in Colorado. He's known as a jokester....I wonder if this is serious. It can't be.

There is no Mets triple header. Obviously, @Jay_HorwitzPR is freaking drunk.
