Well that's just mistaken. Swisher's range is slightly above average. Damon's range in LF is above average. Melky's well above average this year, and Gardner is well above average, as well (despite his lousy jumps on balls.) I know you like to make fun of the stats I use, but this is part of why you use them. The UZR/150 rating will show you who gets to balls, whose defense is shitty because of physical errors, and whose is shitty because they don't get to balls they should get to. The Yankee OF does not have a problem with range. Their problem (recently) has been with catching balls that they should catch, and with hitting the fucking cutoff man.
