Why do Yankee fans get so defensive about the stadium? It is a joke and a disgrace to baseball. Deal with it!
And there are little league-rs in the Williamsport Little League series that can catch pop flies at second base in Yankee Stadium.
Why is it every time somebody is outraged/shocked/angry about something you're not... it qualifies it as faux? Just because you don't agree doesn't mean it's fake.
Why? In this case, two reasons. 1. I have a hard time believing that people are actually up in arms about the dimensions of a ballpark. A very hard time. 2. If it were a new park in Oakland, no one here would be saying it's an embarrassment to baseball. I'd bet everything I own that the bulk of any "outrage" is driven by previously held feelings about the team who built the ballpark, and not about the ballpark itself.
I don't know about that. If it were in Oakland, I probably wouldn't have anything to say about it. But I bet you Giants fans would. And the other AL West teams. Or AL teams in general. I feel the same way about Citizen's Bank Park and Great American Ballpark as I do Yankee stadium. But even worse, that stadium is on pace to shatter the home run record by Coors Field. Just crush it. But as it is, I already think every AL park is an embarrassment to baseball because they employ the designated hitter rule.
Yankee fans are so defensive. Relax, you didn't build the stadium and I'm sure it is pretty exciting watching pop ups become HRs every home game.
Only speaking for myself here, but I'm perfectly relaxed. In fact, "Relax" is my advice for those becoming apoplectic when it comes to discussing the HRs in new Yankee Stadium.
Oh please. CitiField is pretty much "Jackie Robinson" Field. You have hardly ANY Mets historical references in the park, and its entire theme revolves around a player on a completely different team. That's far more pathetic.
The home run thing is ridiculous, and I don't think anyone knows the reasons why, but part of the reason is that the Yankees might have the most power in baseball. Yesterday's home runs weren't bombs, but the vast majority of home runs have not been cheap.
Fun Fact! The Mets were the first team in MLB History to have 3 "Fernandos" in the starting lineup! Fernando Tatis Fernando Martinez Fernando Nieve
Saying remarks like this must let Jet fans have the opportunity to discover what it feels like to be Cowboys fans or something.
You guys want to talk shit, and then call us egotistical douchebags when we defend our team. Double standard, much?
Saying your new stadium gives up is so favorable to offense that the integrity of the stadium is in question isn't talking shit, it's true. It's not like Met fans aren't the only ones saying this.
