I predict roughly 50 more "maybe he'll get it going" posts regarding Delgado this year if last is any indication.
Delgado was a bad move too. But overpaying basically always hurts somewhere. Teams are going to be reluctant to spend more money when they've given out a bunch of huge contracts and seen minimal production. And of course, more overpaid players = higher ticket prices. The Mets make me sick. The awful trades more than the bad contracts, but either way.
For every Kazmir/Bannister type of deal, there has been a Santana/Maine type deal to offset it. So long as the good outweigh the bad you can't get too annoyed.
