Great move to resign an average player maybe. Hopefully his starting days are numbered. I want the full package.

It's sad that our "best" TE last year only played in 8 games and caught less than 20 balls. Baker has shown flashes of competance, but could never maintain a consistent level of play. I hope this is the year he finally gets it together, and puts up a breakout season.

Wow this is sooooooooooooooooooooooo a very improtant signing that I am sure the odds in Vegas will now go way down on us winning the upcoming SB cause he is staying a NYJ.

This isn't Jolley we are talking about. Baker may not have the best hands, but they sure as hell aren't bad. They're above average.

He can catch a football well enough. That's a requirement you'd think wouldn't be that hard to accomplish. HOLY. I like Baker.

H'mm my vivid memories of him is dropping a pass while wide open in the EZ. If you are supposely a TE besides your supposed blocking abilities requirement $1 in my book is hanging onto that rock. Just think he was UFA & NO OTHER team in the league even made him a offer except us. What does that say about is perceive threat thruout the league? Al Dorow should be jumping on this as well as to why what we are for the last 37 years with players like Baker

Nobody goes through their entire career mistake free. It's only if fumbling becomes the norm and not the anomaly. Look what happened to Tiki Barber after he let that fumbling mess get inside his head; which, although I hate the Giants, I *cough!* like Tiki and give credit where it's due for his turn around to form. Persistent bad habits of an Anthony Becht are a concern, not the likes of Chris Baker.

What direction do you think we should go in the draft Champ?

I like Baker a lot, and now hopefully, the Vernon Davis cries die down. If anyone wants to take him and carry 4 or 5 tight ends, they're nuts.

Baker is a good TE. Dressen has talent. Jolley has good receiving ability. Dearth is a decent blocker, but he's really there to be a longsnapper. When you had as bad a season as we did last year, and you're already very solid at TE, taking a tight end, a luxury position, is idiotic.

He received offers from Seattle and Miami, and nearly signed with Miami. What game did he drop that wide open pass? I have all the games on tape. Tell me the game and quarter and about what time.

Not being privy to the scouting reports if the QBs are listed as cannot miss then we have to go for a QB since we have to provide the other side with a QB that can beat them deep. After that I am not a draftnik & do not even read any of these draft this or that guy so I have to ASSUME that the wizards in the FO will get somebody who will help the team immediately

Sorry cannot remember the game but it was before he got hurt for sure. Could also have been last year but I sought of doubt it. It really makes no difference since he is not a game changing TE no matter what which means he is not a upgrade at that position

Yes, he is an upgrade. He catches and blocks better than Jolley. Just because you're better than another player obviously doesn't make you a game changing TE, but he is sure as hell better than Jolley.

Would you prefer Cutler, Young, or Leinart?
